That won't happen. You think these guys are going to let themselves get to free agency just to go play for Rex Ryan? This isn't baseball with guaranteed contracts, my friend. If the Jets get this right, a big if, then they won't be going anywhere. If they don't, then it won't matter who follows Sexy Rexy in a few years.
very impatient and very demanding - damned right. I know there are younger fans on here, but to those who have endured like myself (since 1965), impatient and demanding is an understatement. the rest of your post is nonsense, so I can't be bothered with it.
I am happy they are both gone Rex I feel bad for but he ran his course Idzik-good riddance to bad garbage Now one left Geno the man who help bring down a gm and coaching staff in 30 starts.....
What? Is this a serious statement? Parcells came in and took an organization that was 3-13 and 1-15 in its two previous season - both worse than this year, I might add - and turned it around instantly. His presence was felt for a decade. The team had respect, had a couple of bad seasons but essentially wasn't a laughing stock any longer. Enter Tannenbaum, and NOW you have a guy who screwed the organization for a one-year push. The Jets would be lucky to ever have another guy come in here and do what he was able to do for what was, before that, one of the true sad sack franchises in the sport.
i hated the quiet irrelevance age... didn't even feel like a mattered or anyone cared about us as a franchise.. even out playoff wins went without notice
Don't need someone to front as a head coach, need someone to BE a head coach. What about the multiple penalties in terrible situations? What about the high school atmosphere where everyone could do what they want to do with no fear of repercussions from the team? I 100% agree that with even minimal time-management skills, there are 4-5 games we could/should have won. No doubt. Without even delving further and looking hard: Green Bay, Chicago, both New England games, first Miami game. You can even possibly throw Detroit in there as, per usual, we didn't stop them at the end of the half and left them timeouts.
Of course my post is nonsense, its why I wrote it mocking the fire idzik/rex crowd. However, my point is that if people couldn't sit still during year 2 of a five year rebuild, how will they react when we have a few losing/rebuilding seasons under a new gm/HC? Rebuilding requires patience, you draft some good young players and watch them develop. You shouldn't demand the gm be fired because his draft picks have not developed in your timeline. In a rebuilding mode you have to throw away seasons as you develop your young players contrary to popular belief.
do not disagree. It is hoped that we follow some logical and sound steps when trying to right the ship this time.
Going with the strategy of cleaning house, shouldn't we be getting rid of MM and his wonderful "Wildcat in the Redzone" playcalling?
