I may be flamed for this, but is anyone else "relieved" that Woody is being very "bottom line" and being matter of fact with this presser? Again, call me crazy but I think this is a good sign. I think we are getting some honesty from him too - re. when he was going to make a decision, hiring Idzik and not canning Rex, Idzik agreeing to the deal that Rex had to stay....
I very much like the fact that he basically said fuck with the fans say and that the vocal fan base is not a majority of the fan base.

ok, first scary part of the presser. Stressing the hire of the HC more than than the hire of the GM. Not good to hear.....
he is scaring me by saying he will hire the HC and get "advice" from the GM. It should be the GMs decision and he has final yes or no. He just said he might hire the HC before the GM? Wow.......I take my original comments back. Does he have a specific coach in mind? Sounds like he does....(I know I am reaching and reading through the lines but...)
Agreed but he's at least stressing the importance of having a GM with a strong scouting background as well as having a GM and HC who have a good working relationship with each other
I'm not watching the presser. Is he not going to let the GM pick the HC? Or is he just saying that our next HC is important.
He is a buffoon. At least he admitted that he made Idzik keep Rex. Why is he going to be the one to hire the HC instead of the GM?
