The question is does Chip Kelly want to bring Mark back in 2015. One factor might be Matt Barkley. Barkley's career is heading in the same direction as Matt Simms. Chip's always been a big fan of Mark's but after seeing him play ok to fair and maybe have a losing record as the starter, he might change his mind. Not sure if Mark on the open market would now be as a backup or in a real Qb competition. I could see some demand for Mark. He's basically been efficient as a backup but not as a starter.
If I'm wrong, and I truly believe I'm right, please give me hell!!! Lol Correction, if you can get beyond pride, is learning! I've been wrong before. When called out, and proven wrong, I will always bow to the superior! It's ok to be wrong, but not cool to call others stupid, or less than ones self, due to a biased opinion or man love for one player. Junc hollered "Bad call" on Nachos last screw up. How funny is that? Junc, I do enjoy your arguments, but you are totally wrong about Nacho!!!! Lol
Remind me again why Matt Ryan is a 'franchise' QB ? Sanchez may be an average or even below-average QB for the rest of his life in the regular season but in a big game or playoff game, I'll take him over the majority of these so-called franchise or playoff QBs we see.
I was expecting much more Sanchez nut hugging after today's solid statistical performance, but then again, stats are just for uninformed average fans. Sanchez will be a solid backup in this league.
Ok Sanchez kicked ass today and Ryan sucked. But surely you know that Sanchez couldn't carry Matt's jockstrap.
Sanchez had a decent game today. There will say he had a fantastic game but that just illustrates how low the bar is set for the expectations of Sanchez. Sub .500 opponent that's vulnerable against the pass and he puts up league average numbers and basically disappears in the 2nd half after putting up 200 yards and 2 TD's in the first half, much of it in the first quarter. Kudos to the Eagles for the meaningless win.
You're sounding like a hater and being nitpicky. Just give him his due credit. He gets his fair share of much deserved criticism. But today he played a decent game.
I said he had a good game, not a great game. Any hating in that post was for those who will claim that it was a great game. Any hating was on the fact that fans have such a low expectation of Jets QB's, former and present that an relatively average NFL performance is considered great or fantastic play. If I'm hating on anything it's the low bar set for players like Sanchez and other Jets QB's.
So where does Mark Sanchez go in 2015? Stay in Philadelphia? What about Houston? Tennessee? Tampa Bay? St. Louis? Chicago? Buffalo? Even Cleveland? Mark WILL START somewhere.
Doubt he'll be signed to be a starter. He'll sign with a team without a franchise QB where he can compete for the starting job. He's made some great plays in Philly but he's also made a ton of mistakes. He definitely didnt distinguish himself from Foles in his limited opportunity. I have a gut feeling he'll be in Tennessee to replace Locker and compete with Mettenberger.
Decent chance he signs in STL, Arizona, Tenn, Houston. He won't be a guaranteed starter for any of them but will be allowed to compete.
This is what you said. " Sanchez had a decent game today. No one before this post said Sanchez played great or was awesome or anything. I wouldn't have quoted you and said what I said if his supporters were nut hugging his performance against the Giants. So considering no one said he played great I find your comments a little nitpicky.
