As much as I want Rex gone I think this is the right way to do it.

He should be fired because no good HC is going to come work for him after seeing the team he just handed Rex and even if he stays he would be on the hot seat. He should also be fired for completely whiffing on so many draft picks. While the jury is still out on some players, Winters and Geno are awful and he seems to only draft players with significant injury histories at the same CB position he neglected in FA. Perhaps he "deserves" a shot with his o2n HC and shit but he dug a hole that makes doing so very stupid for this franchise moving forward. We have high draft picks and lots of cash. Clean house.

I don't disagree about the hot seat, of course I will be the first one calling for his head if next season doesn't show huge improvement aka division title or playoff birth. I think jury is out on Geno. I really am highly highly down on MM, poor management of the offense as a whole.

If he stays I think he is more than well aware he is on the hot seat. If he stays I expect him to be making a lot of moves in free agency.

All that said, I highly doubt he stays based on what I have read and the lengths to which fans have gone to have him can'd

is anyone arguing anything different? my point was that the presence of TB on BB's roster was more the reason for his success than his HC experience with the Browns.

Yeah that's BS, by the time we hire a new GM, most head coaching openings will be filled. He deserves to have the opportunity to interview for other jobs.

    Agreed, it's fair.

If the GM wants to keep then do it. If he doesn't, then he has the right to move on. Looking back, it's probably what Idzik should have had

Seems to me you've been arguing that coaching makes no difference and it's all about the QB.

I disagree -- anything that remotely gives Rex a chance to back here is sheer lunacy.
Either he is a lame duck which he outright didn't want last year or you then have to extend him again like last year.

The bright side is maybe we can get someone to put up Fire Rex billboards, planes and towelettes.

First of all, Rex has no leverage, so if he gets pissed, he'll have to deal with it.
As for whether GM not wanting to keep him around, I disagree with you.
Make no mistake about it, Rex can coach and he seems like someone a GM can work with.

Your right Rex can go 1 and 15 and it wouldn't be his fault.

Haha glass half empty I totally agree.

Pryor has had some god awful angles that have cost easy tackles to big gains. He's a rookie, it can still be fixed.

I have no idea on the financials of Harvin. He's good.

Geno has had MM for two seasons. Mm never calls HB screens, mm refuses to run Geno from center or even run the football at all. Mm blew the Green Bay game and the 2nd New England game (100% on mm) mm did a horrid job of making sure Vick was prepared to play. Mm should shoulder a vast majority of the blame on offense. The redzone play calling is complete garbage, situational management complete garbage, Green Bay going into half with the ball and the lead, New England with the ball in the 4th quarter after the pick and not committing to the ground, Powell completely missing in production, ivory not nearly getting enough carries, commitment to Johnson.

Milliner is made of glass and it looks bad, this will be 100% on Idzik. Milliner has one last season to prove something, maybe he will.
