Don't waste your time arguing with Troll 4 u2 he creates the most ridiculous threads cause he knows it will anger the majority
Dude, Geno has been in the shotgun formation all year, they have been giving him opportunities all year to make plays downfield, he stinks. He had his 3rd 300 yard game in 2 years today, he plays in a WCO, that is a pass happy offense. While I give him credit today, it also works as an indictment because we have been saying that Geno was the problem all year, not Aboushi, not colon, not the cbs as you stated, not Amaro, not Ivory. He has been the problem and JI will lose his job because of his selection of Geno and asking him to be his franchise QB. This performance by Geno will not be the norm.
Nyjetsknicks247 and jets69, So you both agree with what I said, and it annoys you....you have no answer for me, because you know I'm right. You just don't like Rex personally, but you know he doesn't deserve to be fired, so you just attack me personally. BTW, 34% of the fans on this board agree with me that Rex should not be fired. But you claim it's just me. Don't bother with those annoying facts lol...
The team had a tough schedule and were unable to beat the better teams. But to me the talent on the field was a .500 team. With good coaching maybe 9 Ws. With lousy coaching a 4 W team. So if you were to ask me if another coach would have won more games with this talent: yes.
What should the Jets do with Rex Ryan at the end of the season? Keep Rex 40 vote(s) 34.8% Fire Rex 75 vote(s) 65.2% From the Poll thread started a few days ago. Rex got almost 35% of the votes, kind of surprising to me given our 4-12 season. Shows there are quite a few smart fans on here who recognize that Rex is a great coach when he's given something to work with... http://forums.theganggreen.com/threads/final-call-on-rex-ryan.82942/page-5#post-3153162
That's why the Jets are 26th in passing attempts per game, 31st in yards per attempt, and last in passing yards. Opportunities my ass. This on a team that trailed in most of its games.
That's what happens when you go 3 and out all the time because your qb cannot complete any passes, or throws pick sixes, or takes losses on sacks because he is not smart enough to just throw the ball away. He is the problem, it's amazing how good the offense looked with good qb play, same OC, even though some calls by MM were atrocious there was nothing different about the jets offense. Geno just played better today, that was the difference. Get a QB who can play the position and no one is talking about firing rex or Idzik or BradwY.
Geno, Rex, and anyone that thinks either one is worth anything, is in the amateur division of professional sports. You are what your win/loss record is and both these guys are in high school.
Well being 26th in attempts but dead last in yards might be a big hint that we dont have the pieces for a proper passing attack. Maybe if they were 26th in passing attempts and 20th yards you could say we needed to pass more but this is the first game we have won all season passing the ball.
That's because we have had years of a run, run, pass, punt offense. I'm not saying Smith is the answer, but it is clear that Ryan can't coach offense. It's time for a change.
They signed that petition week 17 last year in Miami .....and it worked....the result is 4-12.......no thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
New Yorkers tend to be so impatient and short-sighted. The best franchises in the NFL, the Steelers and Cowboys for example, have had the same coach for 15-20 years, through good times and bad, and that continuity and commitment to the program has yielded multiple championships (Tom Landry, Chuck Noll and Bill Cowher come to mind). Those organizations don't bend to the whims of impatient fans who don't know the ins and outs of coaching, or of football for that matter. They don't bend to the media. They stick with the program when they have a good coach. That's what the Jets should be doing with Rex .... we'll see if Woody keeps him around and perhaps lets the next GM make the decision (one report suggested that might be what happens). Don't be surprised if the GM they bring in knows the kind of quality coach Rex is...
