I may be a homer because he was one of my favorites coming out of Minnesota and I was stoked when he signed here but he still deserves credit when credit is due. Despite playing with both Vick/Smith, Marty's play calling, and missing two and a half games to injury he has managed to collect the most Jets receptions in a single season since 2008, become only the 6th receiver in jets history to go over 200 yards in a single game, collected the most receiving yards since 2007 by a jets receiver, and is currently 7 yards short of breaking the franchise leading Don Maynards single game record of 228 yards set on November 17, 1968. Product of Peyton Manning? I think not, I can't wait to see what he'll do with an improved o-line and QB stability/improvement.
While I'd much rather have the #3 or #4 I'm not sure we'd take Amari at either slot and I don't think Mariota will be there.
It'd be nice to see what he could do for us if thee was someone else on the field to challenge defenses and draw coverage away from him.
Decker was a great pickup. He played well enough to be the 3rd receiver on most teams and was only paid like a 1st. Since 3 is 3x1, that is a good value.
