I'm actually enjoying this meaningless game more than I thought I would. No pressure, basically a glorified preseason game, except one played at a regular season pace/competition level.

    So far .....

    1) Chris Owusu looks good, we may have our own mini-ODB, a diamond in the rough perhaps? :)
    2) Geno Smith is off to a nice start. He has shown some real improvement.

I have to mention how both announcers think Rex should not be fired, given how the roster has been eroded the last 2 seasons thanks to Idzik's stupidity...

Marcus Williams can play!!! He continues to make plays, and is already way better than Kyle Wilson. One CB spot may be solved for next season!

UGH, bad Geno just showed up again....he was holding the football like a basketball on that fumble.

...is anyone else watching this game? This is the kind of game that separates the real fans from the front-runners and trolls.

Calvin Pryor has arrived. 16 weeks late is better than never

Marcus Williams - great find not sure why we didn't rotate the bottom half of the roster to try and find more guys like him

Owusu- what a catch and nice Td

Decker - most recetions from a jet receiver since 2008, wow that says a lot about our team the past 6 years

Just curious....what have you seen from Pryor that makes you say he's "arrived"? I haven't seen it.

Just curious..... if your watching the game. By arrived I don't mean he's the next Sean Taylor I mean he's actually making tackles.

One thing Geno and Rex have in common they don't ever learn from their mistakes

Rex's only mistake has been that he can't hire a decent offensive coordinator. (and that the bitter GM who inherited him has been hell-bent on undermining him)...other than that, he will be one of the hottest coaching commodities out there this offseason, too bad we can't hire him to be our next HC ... smh...

As the announcers said earlier, all the other coaching staffs in the league respect Rex and how his teams play for him, and how he keeps the locker room together even under adversity...it's just some stupid, reactionary fans that don't see this, or refuse to acknowledge it.

    He's loyal...can't manage a game...burns 2 timeouts weekly...clueless on offense

Sadly playing hard does not equal wins

It does if your GM gives you the necessary players to win.

Yeah, that's it. we are blinded by stupidity. More so though, for being stupid enough to read your shitty threads and expect anything decent said in them.
Take for example your opening statement.

Yeah, me and both announcers calling the Jets game today must be stupid. Most NFL experts must be stupid. All the other front offices and coaching staffs must be stupid. Us Jets fans, on the other hand, we know better. That makes more sense, let's go with that. ~ says the message board Jets fan/troll ... lol. (smh)

Rex can't develop much on offense

    yeah, that's it.
The game announcers job is to be nice today - last game. meaningless. keep some people interested enough to stay tuned and not be a total ratings wipe out.
The Raven front office must have been pretty stupid too - because they didn't hire Rex when the position opened and he was DC.
I have been so busy reading all the other front office staff report cards on Rex - overwhelming. Lol, What a ton of crap. They are not in the business of publically ripping other people in the league. But if they could, they would have a lot to say about this clown.
I am not in the minority on this board that this man should be gone. quickly. perhaps you can take your shining light and travel along with him as well?

I agree with that, he needs better offensive coaches.

But the announcers repeated how great a head coach Rex is, and that they both think he deserves to keep his job. And that he will be at the top of other teams' head coaching lists after he's fired. Everyone but Idzik and apparently the stupid Jets organization knows what a prized commodity Rex Ryan truly is as a head coach.
