Incorrect. Woody is the exact type of owner who is I fluenced by image and fan pressure. If there was no heat Woody may very well have gone half baked again like he did last off season. The public outcry may very well have been money well spent in moving the Jets forward in the right direction

2 shitty drafts is all I needed to see. Selections were awful.

This whole staff got themselves fired the moment they hitched the team to Geno. They can't pick QBs so they need to go. Let's just be glad the Geno era is over. The eternal search for a fucking QB resumes but at least we can be hopeful because it's gonna be extremely hard for the next guy to suck worse at throwing NFL touchdowns.

He should be fired. He has missed on most of the draft picks (Richardson is an exception). One of the only things he has done right is get the salary cap under control.

    Fire him.

I don't blame him for not spending in the free agency. That's actually what I would do in his place; keep a tight budget until a descent QB comes along and the team is ready for the SB push. However, drafting is what makes and breaks GM:s and Idzik's results have been sub-par.

I am pretty sure he is gone, but if he stays it would seem the fair thing to do. While he was not given all the tools he needed at the outset (I think he was told to keep Bradway as well as Rex--or else he had no say on Bradway either way)--he did have the option of saying no. So, I am torn.

This is my take on Idzik: he inherited an org and a head coach and was willing to give all of them a chance to work together. He isn't a fire everyone first guy. He was willing to give people a chance to keep their jobs. If this is true he badly underestimated their disloyalty. And the kind of resistance he met within the org. These are the people who selected Mark Sanchez along with Rex and Tannenbaum and Woody, and they will never admit they were wrong.

I can understand some of our fans wanting to give Idzick more time. What I can't understand how they pound the other opinions and call the writers and fans (who want Idzick out) idiots etc and yet one writer supports their point they quote it.

None of those really sound like anything that has "worked". Decker hasn't worked. He's a bum, a Name Bum, but had all of ONE 100 yard game. Giacomini was "meh" who replaced Howard who was "meh". Chris Johnson?! Seriously...

You're just yanking my chain at this point. You can't look at 3-11 team, 29th in offense (or whatever it is), and claim that the offensive signings "worked"...

Decker is close to a 1000 yards receiving. Giacomini has been a solid addition to the oline and Johnson has been solid this year. To say that these guys have been bad is flat out wrong.

How close to 1000? Giacomini has been a downgrade from Howard, who nobody will confuse with a pro-bowler. Does the record mean anything to you? I mean, the way you're touting these players and the GM you'd think the Jets were 11-3 and not 3-11 and had a top-ten offense, instead of the reality.

But my wife says it's bad Karma to argue for someone to lose his job, so I'll leave it to someone else.

Idzik needs to go. He did not put a winning team on the field this season. He left glaring holes at corner and failed to shore up the offense until mid-way through the season with the Percy Harvin Trade, which really was a failed attempt to cover Idzik's lackadaisical ass.

Idzik made some good moves Chris Ivory has been a beast, Chris Johnson showed some flashes late and Sheldon Richardson will be a powerhouse for years to come The Harvin pick-up was nice too, hopefully he can stick around for a few years.

Idzik though is too bent on saving a buck and looking for quick fixes. That's one approach but, you can't rely on it solely. He also failed miserably on most of his draft selections with only a scant few looking as if they will have a bright future.

Idzik needs to be gone and The Jets must hire a savvy, football veteran who knows the players and has the skills and football acumen to build a Superbowl caliber team for the New York Jets.

Can't really say I care whether or not Idzik gets can'd..?

IMO it's a premature move; very difficult to judge his performance in such a short period of time.

    I think it's a mistake, but I've been wrong b4.

The players have been productive. I can give them credit for their play despite the crappy season. Idzik needs more time than 2 years. But we're going round and round in circles saying the same thing.

    productive?? omg

the arguments in favor of the offensive additions get more ludicrous...You do realize they judge offenses in part on how well the offense performs; how many times you score; how many critical penalties you take; whether you can block up a long field goal; this has NOT been a productive offense...for years. And the OL is major reason why.

If there's been turmoil in the front office as rumored its maybe not such a bad thing. Could be that Idzik is just trying to change the culture and is running into a buzzsaw of resistance. The people he inherited in the organization - let's face it just aren't that good.

700+ yards and 4 TD's is productive. You're being stubborn about this because you have an agenda to shit on anything Idzik related.

Fire Itzik, Keep Rex, 1 more season...why? Because Itzik & Powder Boy set him up to fail..when was the last the last time we had a coach that gave a shit about this team??? Rex loves Our Jets, who's out out there that can compete with his passion?
