    The Jets on Tuesday announced their 2014 team awards.

    They are as follows:

    Curtis Martin Team MVP
    (voted on by teammates)
    DT Sheldon Richardson

    Dennis Byrd Award: Most inspirational player
    (voted on by teammates)
    OLB Calvin Pace

    Kyle Clifton Award: Good guy
    (voted on by Jets' staff)
    TE Zach Sudfeld

    Bill Hampton Award: Rookie who acts most like a pro in locker room
    (voted on by equipment staff and past winners)
    OG Dakota Dozier

    Marty Lyons Award: Player who gives from the heart through charity and community involvement
    (voted on by Jets' staff)
    CB Kyle Wilson

    Ed Block Award: Most courageous player
    (voted on by teammates)
    S Rontez Miles

    He definitely deserves it. The last play in Minnesota was a perfect example of the Jets season. The team blowing it while Richardson is giving it his all.

    Sheldon was a madman on Sunday. He was in Brady's face all day. One of the best defensive players in the NFL.

    this year it's not the M.V.P (most valuable player) it's O.V.P. (only valuable player)

    We have the defensive line to build around folks. That ain't a bad thing. If we can spend im this offseason getting our offensive line of the future, I would say we are building this team the right way. The lines can make any mediocre skill positions look good.

    Sheldon is going to be a beast for a long time, and I hope they consider moving him to DE because I believe he can be a dominant pass rushing DE.

    congrats to all, Sheldon certainly deserves that honor which is a big honor even on a bad team. he is a great player we can build aroud on D(along w/ Mo)

    h's a modern day Klecko, line him up anywhere but I would love to see a 4-3 w/ him and Harrison inside and Mo and Coples outside.

    Absolutely deserved. Sheldon is already a dominant player. Him and Wilkerson are both top 5 at the 3-4 DE position throughout the league.
