People are led and empowered. CNN was in Ferguson riling people up and inciting months before the facts even came out. The mayor threw the NYPD under the bus and left them as sitting ducks ,encouraging the actions today

It doesn't make sense though. He shot his gf which had nothing to do police. The guy was just a nut who traveled many miles to die.

When I heard of the shooting I thought it was a local because cops are always at that corner on their breaks but he was from out of town.

This jerkoff mayor has really created a mess. I'm sure EVERY cop in the city would love to crack their nightstick over his head. I wonder if he'll have the balls to show up at these funerals.

Just another coward with a gun. Access to guns is way too easy in this country.

He had ties to Brookyn, maybe from there originally. Most likely someone who was over the top passionate about the "movement"
Yeah, they have asked him not to come, and turned their backs as he walked in the room yesterday. He needs to resign.

Bullshit. CNN has nothing to do with this.

You might as well blame the people who make sure guns are easily available. Oh wait.

I still don't understand how this is the mayor's fault. We have grown men in power yesterday fighting and throwing words around like kids. Bill had nothing to do with this shooting. People hated cops well before he mentioned his son and cops 3wks ago.
Again the shooter was born in BK but he traveled all the way from baltimore after shooting his gf. He wasn't a local and cops weren't the only thing on his mind .

These officers likely didn't deserve to die, but it's disturbing how different the reactions are between police shooting innocent victims and civilians killing police officers. The narrative of neither should be "what did the victim do to deserve death?". If it's a civilian death, one will assume they were committing a crime or "deserved" it. If it's a police officer, no one rushes to assume police corruption or brutality that preceded the incident. Hopefully reactors learn from this and work to develop greater empathy for all humans, badges or not.

You read it. This loser was a coward, and if you say otherwise then you clearly must be one too, or have an ulterior agenda.

What did CNN have to do with Ferguson and the spread of it exactly? In fact, what the fuck does that even mean?

You don't care for their coverage? Change the fucking channel. CNN reaches millions of people hourly. If their coverage was so persuasive in fomenting civil discord we'd be under martial law right now.

CNN didn't make you go out and break windows and fuck up some cops, did it? Why not?

Ok,i get what you are saying ..yes the discord was brewing skin deep. But I watched CNN back in august as they walked thru the crowd saying how wrong the police response was,and how they are treating the people like savages. You want to tell me that didn't incite one single person in Ferguson watching it? They did the same in NYC as they walked thru and glorified the marches as they turned to "we want dead cops" days later. If not for CNN,i wouldn't have seen most of it
