Can't wait til the next GM we hire is "the worst GM in the NFL" because he hasn't completely blown up and rebuilt the team in two years. Not I my friend, but I will certainly be finding that tailgate party and bringing my white piece of paper in to the stadium with me.

I am not digging in, I am not necessarily pro Idzik I am just not anti Idzik. I don't feel like he has had enough time. I hate that it appears he screwed up the huge draft of 2014 but I don't believe he has had enough time to do his job here. I never felt like he was building for 2014 but he's going to have to have a little sense of urgency for 2015.
This has got to be the longest, most painful season I have personally endured as a fan of any professional sports team since 1996.
Go for it, but when Woody keeps Idzik, Idzik screws yet another draft and FA period, the Jets are 0-16 next season, then no GM prospect or HC prospect will touch this franchise because the team is bereft of talent, don't say we didn't warn you. You'll have made your bed and will have to endure it (which you should if that comes to pass). I for one won't care because I'll have left the Jets in my rear view mirror.
His whole plan is to build thru the draft (which is a fine plan) but he hasn't drafted quality players. Which means, even though his plan is solid, he SUCKS at executing the plan and should not be allowed to continue to suck at his job. You people amaze me.
If you leave you weren't a real fan to begin with so go ahead and leave. even if we are 0-16 the Jets job will be a coveted one, it's 1 of 32 of these jobs in the world. we have some talent, we will be better next year w/o a doubt- even if we don't have a great offseason.
The plan is fine, but when you have 12 draft picks (and your plan is to build thru the draft) and completely whiff on who you select that means you aren't very good at doing your job and you shouldn't be allowed to continue to do it. He needs to go, not because his plan is bad, but because he sucks at his job.
he's also give us a ton of cap flexibility. fans are angry for 2 reasons w/ him(besides the record)- the poor 2014 draft(poor as of now, that could change) and not making a splash in FA except that he did by signing Decker. signing mediocre corners to big $$ would not have helped us this year and beyond.
I agree on the '14 draft though it is way too early to pass final judgment. Pryor could be very good, Amaro looks like he can be a good one, McDougal was hurt, the other guys? I don't know? it is frustrating we couldn't do a better job and that falls on him but is it a fireable offense after less than 2 years?
I care less about the FA. The reason why fans are pissed at him is because he let Cromartie go and didn't bring back Revis and the CB position was one of the worst on the team, and the 2014 draft was (which was one of the deepest in the recent history) a complete disaster. His tenure here is littered with failure and now we are going to have two MONSTER decisions that need to be made. 1 is a new Head Coach and 2 is the top 5 draft pick. I have absolutely ZERO faith in Idzik and because these two decisions are franchise make or break decisions I do not believe Idzik should be allowed to make those decisions.
See ya. I don't necessarily think the WHOLE plan is building through the draft. If it was, he wouldn't have given himself $50 mil to spend this offseason. Gotta kind of put 2 and 2 together here rather than follow the media's agenda. Fans who are upset Idzik didn't bring Revis back really have no room to complain, because bringing back Revis would have been dumb. We are clearly not a Darrelle Revis away from competing, so why blow $12 mil on the guy? Especially when that $12 mil is going to go into Mo, or at least another free agent that can help us long term rather than be a one year bandaid. The people that want him fired want him fired for reasons that would have put the team in worse position. I don't get it. Par for the course with this fanbase though.
