Stanley might not even come out, but if he does I'd pick him easy. Also heard Peat is leaning toward returning to school.
I'd go with "a bit overrated". I haven't found many sources that don't think he projects as an LT at the next level. Some that think he should refine his technique and come out next year, yes, but they still see him as an LT. The same isn't true for Scherff, Collins, and several others, and usually when you have the very first offensive line pick, you're looking for a future LT, even if you don't plan on starting him there.
I think LT is fine for the moment w/ Brick, we need RT, RG, LG taken care of first as those positions are 10x weaker. Scherff and Collins can play those positions. In this case - I would prob look to trade down a little bit. Scherff is prob the first o-lineman off the board though so you are gambling.
I think Stanley or Peat both have legitimate chances to go above Scherff due to their projections as future LTs. BDrig is declining, but you're right- he's still better than our other OL holes. However, he has something like a 14m/year cap hit in 2016. That's why I suspect us to take a future-LT pick for 2015, have them play another spot on the line for a year, then move them over to DBrig's slot at LT if he gets the boot in 2016. Edit: If we could move down a few picks for an extra 2nd rounder I'd jump all over that, though.
Despite Iowa's awful performance as a whole against Tenessee right now, Scherff still looks absoutely dominant. Handling double teams with ease, it's really incredible to watch
