My guess is Brady and Co. lay over 40 points on us...I can't see us putting up 10...it's going to be an ass raping by Belichick as a F/U to Ryan on the way out the door. But that's just me...
Ryan coached 47 gs w/ Revis, 47 w/o him. With: 27-20, 2nd total D, 5th in PA. Without: 18-29, 7th total D, 22nd PA.
Better with Revis Better with Sanchez Better with running the ball, good defense and strong special teams Schotty and Westoff are missed Team fell apart when we moved Cotchery for Derrick Mason
I think the pasties should be a tad nervous. This game screams jets blowout but this is ryans last home game, and a chance to really damage the Patriots inevitable super bowl trip. I don't think the jets win but am expecting a fight.
NE by at least 20. dont see this being close...rex and geno booed of the field by the few fans that actually bother to stay until the end
Exactly what I'm thinking pal. This is our goddam Super Bowl. We could cost them home field adv, send them to Denver and adios. .....10% chance of it happening though. Lmao
I hope we lose 45-3. Every time we have lost 45-3 to them we have beat them in the playoffs in Foxboro to advance to the AFC Championship game.
I hope we win. But we've been mediocre and they've played great. So unless they're due to come out flat I think we have no chance. And a good percentage of this is coaching not just personnel.
Just rewatched the Pats game from earlier this season. The record didn't show it, but we were a decent football team in the first half of the season. SO MUCH better then we are now. We actually looked as good as any team in the league that night, and we outplayed the Pats from down to down. Lately we don't even look like an NFL caliber team. How the hell did we get so BAD?? I'm suddenly not as discouraged going into next season. If we can keep Harvin and just get a QB who can score in the red zone anywhere near the league average, we might actually be OK.
The team may come out inspired and hell bent on playing spoiler. unfortunately that is just not going to be enough. Brady and Revis are playing as well as anyone right now. Compare that to how Geno and Walls/Adams have been playing. it's a tremendous mismatch on both sides of the passing game. There is an outside shot for an upset. It's just going to take masterful game plans executed near flawlessly, sprinkled with a little magic. It would sure make my season to see it though.
It's true though, the Jets almost always bring it against the Pats! Last four games have been decided by, what, something like 10 points combined? It doesn't seem to matter what their records are or where the game is played, NY nearly always puts up a good fight. Ryan will have them as ready as he can for NE, and since this is probably his last shot at Belichick, I'm pretty sure his players are going all-out for him this Sunday.
Oh how the mighty Rex has fallen...... He has some great moments defeating Belichick and the Patriots. Week 2 in his first season, one of the best moments the Jets ever had at Giants Stadium, the great 2nd half performance by Cromartie after Revis got hurt, defeating them in the playoffs in Foxboro, and even the OT win last year was nice. Sad to see it all end this Sunday, with a likely Patriots dominating win.
