1st play of the game westbrook strips his old college buddy Collison for a monster fast break dunk... THE REAL MVP
fucking DAMNIT Parker done for the year. So much for having fun watching my local team.. Also puts a damper on going to my first NBA game later this year.
No I'm not saying you're ignorant, there's just levels to max players and you guys manage to have 2 players who deserve it and more. So someone like Kawhi doesn't seem to deserve it when you compare him to KD and Westbrook. But in this NBA he should get a max and I expect he will if he keeps progressing. The tough part is max contracts aren't static numbers. But yeah you have two players who if there was no max would be making more than they are. So slotting Kawhi into that group seems wrong but I don't think it is
I hate the way the NBA hands out contracts. Westbrook didnt earn the kind of contract he's playing through truthfully until this year. KD even got his slightly early but i guess since people were calling the kid a future hall of famer in his 2nd & 3rd year he got it off the potential.
Spurs don't have a a choice honestly. Its either pay him the max or another team will. Spurs-Grizzlies tonite, see if the Grizzlies can come up big tonite after their good win last night.
Grizzly out play the spurs, were up by 18 I believe, but let the spurs go on a good run at the end of the half.
Atlanta was at Cleveland tonight. Cavs had all the key players, Atlanta was without Jeff Teague. final score: Atlanta 127, Cleveland 98 Cleveland is 5th in a horrible conference. They're 12-4 against the East, 2-6 against the West. They'd probably be 10th or 11th in the West, based on their play this season. Here are some of their games against the West: Wed, Nov 5 @ Utah L 102-100 Tue, Nov 4 @ Portland L 101-82 Mon, Nov 17 vs Denver L 106-97 Fri, Dec 12 @ New Orleans L 119-114 Thu, Dec 11 @ Oklahoma City L 103-94
Tom Haberstroh @tomhaberstroh 1m1 minute ago Dwyane Wade has 37. The rest of the Heat have 42. They're down 13 at home against a team that has lost 12 of last 13.
Surprisingly the Charlotte and Phoenix game turned out to be pretty good. I'm watching Griz/Spurs and it looks like Memphis just wants it more but I doubt the Spurs stay down by double digits. I'd still be willing to bet they come back and make a game of this.
It's hard against the top teams when you're without two of your three best players. Leonard and Parker. It's been a while since San Antonio has been at full strength, with the injuries and all the times Duncan and others got a night off. Splitter and Duncan are playing tonight, at least. In other news, Dwight Howard returns for Houston.
Memphis is going to take this, I hope im wrong but it just seems like the Spurs used up all their energy on coming back.
Spurs are about to win. Unbelievable. I guess Memphis's excuse is they were on the tail end of a back to back.
