The 2015 schedule is out and man, what a cakewalk compared to 2014. The Schedule maker that shit on us this year must have been reassigned. Take a look at the schedule. We're due for a big turnaround. I can see us going better than 8-8 depending on who's leading this band of misfits. http://www.ganggreennation.com/2014/12/17/7408267/new-york-jets-2015-schedule-opponents-set JETS 2015 OPPONENTS HOME AWAY Buffalo Bills @ Buffalo Bills New England Patriots @ New England Patriots Miami Dolphins @ Miami Dolphins Jacksonville Jaguars @ Houston Texans Tennessee Titans @ Indianapolis Colts Philadelphia Eagles @ Dallas Cowboys Washington Redskins @ New York Giants Cleveland Browns @ Oakland Raiders I know it's waaay tooo early to jump for joy about this as all of these teams could take a quantum leap over the offseason and come back much better. However, there has to be some sigh of relief for us Jet Fans knowing that we don't have another "murderer's row" stretch to deal with next year.
Let's just hope we don't have @ Colts, @ Pats, @ Cowboys all in a row with vs. Philly thrown in between. That's a murder's row.
Way too early to tell, but this "feels" a lot better than this year's schedule. FWIW, I really love the NYJ/NYG games. Makes the rivalry feel real.
It saddens me and I hate the fact that we have to rely on an easy schedule to be positive about our team, the Pats, Ravens, Steelers, Packers have a tough schedule every year by virtue of them being good football teams. That's the type of team I want the jets to become, that the schedule does not matter because they are so good and coached so well that they can take on anyone and win.
So glad we got the AFC south ! We usually run through that division. Titans have always been our headache team though just never know what's gonna happen when we play them
I'd like that, too. Gotta think that things come in waves, and that, eventually, our time will come. Hell, if the Cardinals (with stars Fitzgerald and Dansby) can have been the worst as well as the first in their division, then anything is possible. EDIT: That might have been overly optimistic.
We're not there yet Red... Babysteps man... ReOrg, ReTool.. We've got a long way to go and this schedule will make the transition a lot easier. One day, we'll be in the upper echelon but for right now? I'll take that 2015 schedule any day of the week and twice on Sundays.
I know it's cool to see the home away split, but am I crazy or doesn't this just run on a perpetual 4 year cylce? Like 2016 should be the AFC North, the NFC South, the six division, and whoever we tie division places with in the AFC West and South. Right? And I think all those in reverse home/away of the 2013 schedule...
Was really looking forward to a Sanchez back at MetLife game. Maybe he'll sign with the Titans or Skins.
Yes it does. We know who we play every year it's just the home and away that is released. There is only 2 teams that we don't know who we will play until seasons end. This year that is the AFC West #4 Raiders and and AFC North which is Cleveland.
Marty Morningwhig at OC 3-13, literally any other person who's played an offensive position in football at OC 7-9
Yea looks great until this happens. Week 1 @ Buffalo Bills Week 2 New England Patriots Week 3 Philadelphia Eagles Week 4 Bye Week 5 @ Indianapolis Colts Week 6 @ Dallas Cowboys (MNF) Week 7 @ New England Patriots (Thursday Night) Week 8 Washington Redskins Week 9 Tennessee Titans Week 10 @ Miami Dolphins Week 11@ Houston Texans Week 12 Jacksonville Jaguars Week 13 Cleveland Browns Week 14 @ New York Giants Week 15 @ Oakland Raiders Week 16 Miami Dolphins Week 17 Buffalo Bills
Wait, wait wait... How do they go from playing on Monday in Week 6 to Thursday in Week 7?... That's gotta be a mistake or joke
The actual schedule won't come out for a while, they just have the opponents now. I was joking about how we could get screwed.
Jets are in London for a "road" game with Miami Week 4. Week 5 will be the Jets BYE since every time a team plays in London, they have the BYE Week after.... I bet the Jets start in Indy Week 1, get thrown to the wolves from the get go.
