Where does this crap come from??? Marshall has been hurt most of the year and is out for the season. Chicago's running attack as of last week was 26th. Their CS is probably going to be replaced and their D is bottom tier. No one is worse than Smith. Cutler is a mid tier Qb plain and simple.
Speaking of Cutler, I think it would make sense for him to go to Tampa and reunite with Lovie Smith. I wonder what their relationship is like....
Calm down big blocker I was half way joking point was I want nothing to do with Geno and or Jay enough with garbage
To each their own I suppose. But I don't understand why in gods name we would want anything to do with a 32-year-old quarterback who sucks when surrounded by elite level talent.
Because he's far better than Geno Smith or Michael Vick? I doubt we get Mariota or Winston - I would prefer getting a veteran QB for next yr anyway. Bradford, Cutler just a few.
Hey man, 1st - he's a SS not a FS, he's playing out of position. From that realization, he's still able to overcome and be AT or Near the ball. It doesn't always translate to making the tackle. Guess you didn't watch the Titans game? His position is SS not FS, which he was responsible for in that game...He was all over the field making plays and disrupting the back field. I'm not the only one that noticed this. Who cares if he's not Polumalu? Put him back at SS and take notice how much more confident and effective he plays.
I've had it with Ryan, but ftr the problem with third and long is the Jets are woefully thin at Cb. Wilson is always out there in such situations, so add his woefulness to that of the "starting" Cb's, and it is a first class shit show. But yes, Harris has his strengths, but he's not much help on third and long. It will be interesting to see how the Jets D plays Brady with the current personnel. Will Wilkerson be out again? Maybe they deal with the third and long problem by giving up first downs on first or second down. Problem solved.
I don't think he needs to be Polamalu at all.. and referencing a HOF safety in thinking about him is ridiculous and unfair. Someone else brought him up though and that's how the discussion began. I'd be happy if he looked like Clinton-Dix right now in coverage... he's not. I'll admit I didn't watch him that closely in last sunday's game though. Do you blame me? It was a matchup of two 2-11 teams. I was deep into some whiskey with a side of apathy by the 4 o'clock start for that game. Maybe he's playing better. I will keep a closer eye on him this sunday.
This whole "(fill in blank) is playing better!" nonsense is so lame. It was the Titans, who ended up playing their third string Qb in front of a mostly empty stadium. I am not sure why I am watching these games.
I was waiting for someone to finally say it! We had to stumble upon a victory...over another shitty team. You definitely can't judge who is/isn't playing better against that level of competition. It's kind of like the assholes in the pre-season telling me Simms looking good doesn't count because he's playing against people who won't be in the NFL. Like the Jets, the Titans roster shouldn't be in the NFL. LOL!!!
