Hey Hobbes, is Sanchez still better than Romo?

I wouldn't say he has single handedly destroyed their season. He's done a decent job holding the fort, he hasn't won or lost them any games.

He has been very average imo and continues to turn the ball over.

The int was the turning point in the game. I think foles returns if egals lose next game. I originally said this game but I don't think this was enough to replace Sanchez.

What's amazing is, all the fan boys have disappeared since Nacho started playing like the Sanchize QB we know he really is.t
They had him ready to win the Superbowl a couple weeks ago. Telling us all how wonderful of a QB he is, how the Jets organization held him back, how he didn't have any coaches, or team-mates, always some excuse to keep from saying that he was the problem. Philly may be a good enough team to overcome the deficiency that is Mark Sanchez, the Jets did in 09 & 10 to make it all the way to the AFC championship.
I guess those two interceptions he threw today were not his fault, or didn't hurt, either. Just more examples of his solid play, and more leadership from him in a game that was meaningful to the Eagle faithful. Also, more justification as to why the Jets cut ties with this over paid ( In NY ), "Draft Bust"!

Like I said, you can always "mark" him down for at least a couple of turnovers a game. That is the essence of who he is as a QB.

Sanchez has done basically what you wanted out of backup. He's held it down, not single handedly lost them any games but at the same time as most backups do, hasn't single handedly won them any games. He came in, made some good plays, made some bad plays but never let things spiral to a horrible 3/4 turnover game where besides those the Eagles would have won.

    He's been a great backup.

I'd say a solid backup. I don't think any press or fan in Philly is going to claim Sanchez has been great in any fashion. After 6 years you know exactly what type of player someone is at any position. Any QB who turns the ball over multiple times a game (which is his trademark) is a solid backup. I'm sure teams will be very wary in the offseason about giving him any type of long-term guaranteed money after seeing his performance through 6 or 7 starts this year. He's exactly where his career trajectory had him being at this point.

I agree - he is what we thought he is and that's a backup. Junc thinks he knows all and that's why this topic got this far along with his cronies.

It's over Mark could very well play this team out of contention. They thought the Eagles were going to the SB with Sanchez. Gonna beat the Cardinals lmao.

Give Mark Sanchez another few years and a great veteran team that just needs a game-managing QB with the balls to make throws (good and bad) into traffic in crunch time and he might well win a trophy like Trent Dilfer did.

The exposure with the Eagles is too soon. Every mistake he makes dovetails into what the fans expect based on his days with the Jets. The successes aren't frequent enough to make up for that. Ideally for him Foles is back and ready to play by the playoffs. Won't happen but it would be best for Sanchez right now.

absolutely. one game where Romo played well(Mark played well too by the way) doesn't change that. Great job by Romo, awful job by the Philly D- they do realize Dez Bryant is pretty good, right?

I can't imagine what you see in Sanchez at this point that convinces you he's a good NFL QB. I'm just looking at what he actually does and pointing out where the few strengths are. The Sanchez fans see something completely different. It's like all the picks and fumbles don't matter, just the occasional good game or late TD drive.

Calling me a troll is kind of hysterical in that context. Trolls are the people who take things that don't matter and harp on them endlessly to keep the conversation going, kind of like the Sanchez fans do.

Edit: and of course I am an idiot for taking your post as a response to mine. Apologies. :)

And thanks to jcass10 for pointing that out.

Pretty sure he's not talking to you bud.

I didnt see Mark playing well at all, I saw a below average game. From what I've seen around the internet (not gospel obv), Eagles fans are about done with Mark. They dislike Foles as well, mind you.

I need to figure out a threaded view for the forums. I'm sure I've offended a few people by posting stuff that doesn't apply and I apologize for that if it's the case. :)

Hahahah - no big deal, I had a hunch that was directed at Junc anyway. You are no troll Br4d.

I watch and understand football, you should try it sometime.

Are you saying Mark wasn't good last night? are you saying he was why they lost? I look forward to the answers.

maybe they should dislike the defense that cost them the game?

I'm sure they do. Disliking the two arent mutually exclusive. Both were bad yesterday.

Sanchez with another classic, game-changing int. Still the biggest flaw in his game and still the thing holding him back from becoming an above average quarterback.
