If you "root to lose" good for anyone that does, I just think it's misguided thinking.......cause the draft is a crap shoot.

Having the proper leadership of this team is more important to get the team back on track...than Suck for the Duck.

Think back to the Reggie Bush year, this board almost had a meltdown when we won and knocked ourselves out of position to draft Bush. I'd say that worked out pretty well.

    Brick/Mangold >>>>>> Reggie Bush

We can't pick anything, we usually go out and get the biggest bust in the draft.

I've been called naive before, but I'm pretty sure banking on one player to change everything is a bit…uh, shall we say hopeful? desperate? I don't know, but its a little silly to me for a fan of a team that can use talent all over the place to be so dead set on getting one guy.

Really......You're so sure we won't get a good player at #6 vs #4 or #5....please.

We can still try and trade up even though its a pipe dream and would likely take our second round pick to do so

Theres no guarantee anyone is a franchise QB or that any draft pick will pan out for that matter...but now we dont even get to find out. that's disappointing

He might be gone, it will be close, there are some excellent defenders that are worthy of a Top 5 pick.

Hey now don't put words in my mouth. I'm sure we could get a blue chip player there, but it won't be a QB, which is the 1 position we need 10x more than any other one.

This post seems a little odd considering your user name.

In the end, we're all in this together. It's misery, and we all take it differently. Regardless of a win or loss today, we aren't going to be serious contenders at any point in the foreseeable future anyway. So how about we all just get along, and throw in our opinions on what the franchise could do (but probably won't) to turn things around for the better.

But there is no guarantee that Marriota comes in and doesn't do the same exact thing Geno is doing now and for 3 years. That doesn't do anything for us going forward. For all we know Marriota could tear his knee up in the college playoffs and not be worth a top 5 pick at that point. It's stupid to lose games for one player, this isn't the NBA where you tank and you get LeBron James or Shaq.

Usually. For every Richardson there are plenty of Vernon Gholstons and Stephen Hills that we get in early rounds.
