Well Im thinking we will be picking lower than 6..might be 5.

But if we lose the next 2 games. Big time possibility. We will most likely drop atleast 1 spot than where we are now. Would be pretty hard not to.

Jet fans who want Mariota are probably the same ones that were pissed that we passed on Manziel last season.

    See a trend here?

SO I CAN TYPE IN CAPS TOO. Tampa would and should take the home state pick in winston. it is a win-win for them they get a few yrs to develop the home state product and get more fans in the state because of him

you like to bash people yeah I see that trend or the trend where you think you are smarter then everyone. i did not want manziel because he is gonna get killed in the game. What I wanted was a top tier player and we might have lost that chance

You're going to be pissed off when we end up with Cedric Obegui, instead of Cooper.

Trust me we didnt. Picking Mariota or Winston would be a horrible choice. Let the teams that draft them find that out.

I like to bash idiots who think that a running back playing the quarterback position is the answer to our needs.

I'll be satisfied with Schieff or Peat in the 1st.

But Im sure they'll be gone too. You would think we dropped from pick 1 to pick 20 with the outrage right now.

Tampa drafting 1st. That wouldnt have changed even if we lost out.

The thing about the win that's so bad is we eeked by a team that was trying to lose. Everybody needs to be fired. And at this point we can sign almost anybody to upgrade over geno

Yeah bullshit. Both of these teams were trying to win.

The funny part is that the Jets QB that "won" the QB competition barely eeked by the third string QB of the Titans.

You need to watch more college football if that's what you see. They're no sure thing, but the Jets should absolutely take that gamble if they have a chance to. I much prefer Mariota, but I'm intrigued enough by Winston.

I watch enough to know that both are very good college QB's.

Its not a shock to me that QB's that come from non-Pro style offenses only enjoy a short amount of success at the next level.

And in Winston's case his immaturity will fuck it up for him.

You're shortchanging Mariota because of his system, yet you don't know whether he could have been an elite player in a pro-style offense. And Winston has succeeded in a pro-style offense (though not to the extent he did last year). If given the choice of either, I take Mariota and hope he can learn a pro-style offense. Being a very good college QB doesn't guarantee you won't be a very good NFL QB.

Everyone's speculating. I've seen everything from these guys are horrendous to these guys are the second comings. I think not drafting one is a mistake on the off-chance that they are elite, strictly due to the fact that the financial commitment isn't there anymore and we should be drafting a QB every year until we strike gold.

Maybe I am. But to me its way too big of a risk to find out with a top 5 pick. If you take a QB number 1 , or in the top 5. You want to be pretty sure that guy can come in and run your system. Not change your system to what he's comfortable with. Because its clear that cant work in the NFL.

Winston would be a very solid pick if he didnt have concerns. I like his game much more than Mariota's.

Both guys have bigger negatives then they do positives.

To be fair, if Rex is gone, we don't exactly have a system.

Well we dont really have one now either lol.

Im just saying it would be dumb to draft a QB that runs the spread and install that as our offensive gameplan. It would also be dumb to draft him and not run our system like that.
