Has nothing to do with Phil Jackson, if you knew the Knicks contracts and the level of talent in their players you would know this was a throw away system from the beginning.
Eh, I know fans are gonna hate this but it hardly surprises me. Idzik and Woody have been on the same page since day one. Neither expected such a poor 2014 but it has never been about 2014; leaving 30 million unspent was a critical decision last year that both Idzik and Woody wanted. 2014 was never going to be the year and the Idzik's so-called plan is still in motion. It could backfire or improve, but either way I think Idzik and Woody have remained on the same page all season.
My point is that I understand why fans continue to buy merchandise and tickets for a team that clearly doesn't care about winning (because the fan identifies with the team and going to games and following the team is something fan enjoys) ... but because these fans give Woody Johnson money when he clearly couldn't care less if the team is championship-competitive, these fans are actually creating the problem.
I'm looking forward to seeing the Jets continue to build through the draft with a GM that is a very poor drafter
Team doesn't need a "Phil Jackson" it needs a Peyton Manning or Aaron Rodgers witch seems like an impossible task with each passing draft
