You are so wrong that it is laughable. You think that we are the only fan base who has put up a billboard? You think that Chiefs fans are a "laughingstock"? They are widely thought of as some of the best fans in the NFL. http://www.kshb.com/sports/football...lackout-sundays-game-to-protest-season-and-gm How about Bills fans? http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000...t-billboard-to-advertise-discontent-with-team How about Bucs fans? http://gamedayr.com/lifestyle/fans/photo-fire-schiano-billboard-tampa/ I can post quite a few more of these if you would like... It is ok to admit that you are wrong…. really… but if you aren't going to admit it, don't dig your heels in any deeper until you do some research...
You can't blame a guy for trying to get what he worth. People want to cry over his past negotiations, but this is a cut throat business not only for the owners but the players also.
I didn't mean you was crying. The way I see it if we signed Revis and then 7 games into the season we got Harvin would had made this team right now in the playoff race. Think about this we where in the top 3 in sacks like the first 6 weeks of the season? Now just think we had Revis those weeks and we would had a lot more sacks with him and turnovers because Rex could had blitz a lot more. Which means we would have a lot more wins
I supported Idzik, but now I think it's best he left. Don't mind 12 picks, but when 2 of remaining 8 are starters, something's wrong. CB was not handled correctly at all. Geno isn't good, and Idzik is disingenuous when it comes to competition regarding him. Our coach and organization looks neutered and bland. There is no swagger.
I do agree with what your saying that a 6 win team would be an improvement for 2015 but if that is Idzik at the GM position with his hatred from the fan base and media this season I think if he kept his job in 2015 it would be a last chance playoff or bust job for him. A new head coach and QB would make that a very tough task. Then the new 2016 GM job would not be as attractive as it would be for 2015 with a clean house and the cap room. Now if a new GM came in for 2015 and the Jets won 6 games and missed the playoffs that would show improvement and progress to 2014. You now can build on 2015 going into 2016 instead of starting over again in 2016 if Idzik is the 2015 GM. Saves a year.
Because Harvin wasn't available at the beginning of the season. But after Seattle made the decision to deal him there were other teams interested too and the Jets got him cheap. Good job, Idzik.
I understand that. My point he came to a 1-6 team which means we was pretty much out of the playoffs. So if we cut him in off season? What was the point? Like I said if Havin stays then it was a great move by Idzik. I have no problem giving credit to Idzik when he does good.
Completely agree with you on this. I find all the fireidzik.com crap a complete waste of money. Shouldn't a 2-11 record show you all you need to know? I don't think you need a billboard or towels to make that point.
Revis tried reneging on a signed deal at least 2 times Again the player was not available at the beginning of the season. The reason for signing him was supposedly to win games. Or was it to take the pressure off of John Idzik when the press and fans started killing him.
Really? You pulled the reneging card? How many times in this league did teams reneged on a signed deal? How about you go do researched on every player that was cut that had a signed deal still? As for why Idzik traded for Harvin who knows but him.
Look it was the owner's call on Revis. Plus he's injury prone and was recently out for a signify number of games. If me-I'd have signed him.
