It's really uncomfortable. Imagine being publicly ridiculed and humiliated for poor performance at your job? I'm sure that John Idzik is working his ass off trying to build a good team. The guy took over a difficult situation, and probably was not experienced enough to succeed right off the bat. It happens to plenty of people in many different industries. Billboards, Towels, Planes? The guy has a family. Yes he is a public figure, but what is the point? John Idzik probably will be fired, and never hired as a GM again. I'm sure the guy is a mess right now as his dream; everything he worked so hard to gain is crumbling right in front of him. And you know what? John Idzik did a great thing for this franchise by bottoming out. The next GM will walk into a situation with ample cap room, a hand picked coach, and possibly a young franchise signal caller. When Idzik arrived we had the worst cap situation in the league, a lame duck/neutered Rex, and a QB the organization no longer wanted. Fuck FireIdzik people
Fuck idzik... This is a waste of a post.. Should bemerged with others that already started where you can read opposing opinions to yours. Idzik is no victim and deserves every ounce of criticism he recieves.
Maybe he should have been better at his job. The fact that he's in over his head is why he should be justly fired.
I believe that Rex Ryan has been a much bigger problem than Idzik. With Rex around, Idzik HASN'T been a GM--You will never convince me that former defensive coordinator Rex the cheerleader was not behind the 1st round picks of millner, richardson and pryor and the 3rd round reach for mcdougle. If Idzik HAS a problem (and he has several) it was that he let Rex direct his drafts/personnel, and Rex is way out of his league on that, That being said, it doesn't say much for a GM to be so submissive to the coach who hasn't has a winning record now the last 4 seasons. Further, it goes without saying that nobody else other than Idzik and Rex would have taken a team INTO the regular season with the holes at WR and CB that those men did. How in the world they ever envisioned castoff David nelson (since released) could ever be a starting WR or that Dexter McDougle (who?) could be counted on at CB defies reality.
This deserves its own thread. The FireIdzik website developers probably read this board and need to know that the fan base is NOT on their side.

I disagree with this whole thing. John Idzik does not deserve this amount of ridicule for 2 offseasons. Geez, everyone says it takes 3 years to evaluate a draft class!!!!! Should he be fired? Probably Should he be publicly humiliated by the fanbase? Hell No! Where were the Billboards for Bradway when he traded a 1st round pick for Doug Jolley and drafted Mike Nugent?
There plenty of posts debating this issue. Those Idzik supporters that are still clingy to life post in there, no reason to make everyone re write all there opinions again. If those guys read the board, it will validate all the support there getting. The small minority still trying to justify idziks awful job performance are no deterrent to those guys.. Who the hell do you think you are telling grown ass men what they can and can not do? The man came here, got highly paid, and proceeded to screw up our football team even worse than the last guy who screwed things up before he got here. Why can't we demand the changes necessary for our beloved Jets to win a Superbowl in our lifetime?
Think of it as a restaurant. If you receive terrible service are you going to leave a large tip or are you going to mention to the manager how poor the service was? I'm not really sure about Idzik but fans who pay big bucks not only on $150+ tickets but memorabilia and fan gear have a right to have an opinion on the job he's doing.
He publicly humiliated my team!! And i have to be humiliated by other fans of teams with good GM's! Honestly nobody humiliated him but his damn self.. "FIRE IDZIK" is all they scream, nobody insulted him or disrespected him with these signs. Just politely asking him to get the F-k out of our facilities ^_^
