Alex Smith was a number 1 overall pick who's a career game manager. He's benefited from great running games and good defenses most of his career and hasnt really gotten anywhere with it. If thats Geno's ceiling then its not even worth it. Smith is basically Mark Sanchez at this point.
So if we can't get the duck or jameis, what's next? Do we just give up on Geno? Bring a FA qb on a reasonable contract to compete with him?
Lol Rex commented on Geno's statement saying " Yeah, then he hasn't" (shown flashes of being a pro bowl QB)
What exactly is an Alex Smith type level? because he doesn't do much but manage the game for the most part. Harbaugh can't even get Kaepernick at an "Alex Smith type level"
News flashes for you Geno: - You have the LOWEST PASSER RATING OF ANY QB still playing in the NFL. Season passer rating of 68. Eight touchdowns against twelve (!!) interceptions, plus seven (!!!) fumbles, of which miraculously the Jets recovered five. - You returned from your benching with (yet another) pick-six. You have thrown only TWO MORE TOUCHDOWNS TO YOUR TEAM THAN TO THE OPPOSING ONE (8 TDs vs 6 pick-sixes). These are toilet bowl caliber stats.
I don't think it's crazy that Harbaugh could get him playing at average level, which is all it takes to make the Pro Bowl these days with all of the cancellations, but it would without a doubt be a complete waste of time since the guy has the mental clock of a sloth. Why waste time on this fraud?
Geno won't touch a football in the NFL again after this year, he and Blain Gabbert can open a restaurant together called pick sixes...
Geno did look really good vs New England though, He played very very smart through out the course of the game, he was running while keeping his eyes down the field, scanning the whole field, moving instead of standing in the pocket, played real Russell Wilsonish that game. Outside of that.. he high.
Not surprised...this whole Rex Ryan era was filled with delusion..boisterous predictions and moral victories...... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Mark's multiple 0 TD 3-5 INT outings his rookie year would like a word with you. Or the 3-45 loss against New England in Mark's second year. Or the 7-6 Arizona game. Or the game against Baltimore where Mark threw 2 INTs and lost 3 fumbles (out of 4) Or the buttfumble. Or Mark's entire game against Tennessee in his last year with the Jets. (4 INT, 1 Lost Fumble) Or Hell, Mark's game two weeks ago against Green Bay (2 Int, 2 Lost Fumbles) Those are just the really bad ones, too. I'm not even touching the typical Mark Sanchez performance, which looks something like 12/20, 170 yds, 1 TD, 2 INT, 1 Fumble. Mark's had Geno level disaster games every single year of his career. He's just as bad as Geno, he's just gotten a bit smarter and is in a good system now. I don't think a starting QB has ever single handedly lost more games for their team than Mark Sanchez.
