You name the players he has drafted that has made an impact on this team and shown they are nfl players I can think of 4 or 5 how many can you name. We have nothing to build on right now literally nothing.We need to start from scratch we already have some solid peices to build around on offense and defense now we just need a QB a Coach And a GM ....We need to rebuild the front office and coaching staff the roster is almost there
Exactly my point. Rex was a lame duck as soon as Woody announced he was staying after last year's Miami win. It was never "the plan" for Idzik to go out and sign free agents so the team could "win now". Rex got one more year to create a miracle and win with a team knowing full well that philosophy was moving toward building a sustainable team from the draft. What do you want? A team like the Seahawks or the Packers who determine their own success, or a time like the Jets have been traditionally where we go out and spend as much as we can hoping we squeak into the wildcard round every 2-3 years? Rex should have ducked out early, taken a new job based on his unprecedented success last year getting 8-8 and beating some of the better teams in the league with a team that was starting a several rookies in key positions. Then the Jets could have dubbed Marty HC this year and we would be finished 0-16.
