QUOTE]The reason I made this thread was because of the people who called me and a few others names who didn't like Idzik.[/QUOTE] Still seems petty. We're all Jet fans. And I wasnt neccassarily calling you out in particular. Just fans in general nowadays. The people who would rather their predictions be correct and losing than their predictions being incorrect and winning.

We all said we hope we are wrong about Idzik ,but it didn't turn out that way.
No I finally got it. Not my cup of tea as a thread but I'm not offended you've asked the question. I've always wondered what his plan was. He reminds me of Chance the Gardener. _
What has he shown to make anybody think he knows what he doing? At least Geno shows flashes of being a ok QB.
Ironic considering that you want to get rid of Idzik after just 2 years yet you want to keep Geno. You have to keep it consistent and with that post you're just being a hypocrite.
And for the record, I think if you take our situation and move it to somewhere like Atlanta or Minnesota, Idzik is barely questioned and surely isn't a candidate to be fired like he is here. It's always been said that you can't rebuild in NY and this is a prime example of that. You go into a season with a QB that may or may not be the answer in a year where there are two high-level QBs available in the draft. Maybe it's just me, but wouldn't you want to see what that QB has so when draft time rolls around, you know whether or not to go for one of the best QBs in the country? You go into a season with holes EVERYWHERE. You sign Decker, you steal Harvin, and your WR holes are about as filled as they possibly could be given the circumstances. You pass on a guy who is going to command $12 mil at CB in a year when an elite CB does NOTHING for your chances of winning it all. You refuse to overpay for mediocre talent like DRC. You can't even make a play for a guy like Vontae Davis because he's getting a big offer from his current team. Guys like Verner and Flowers are available but don't fit your coach's defensive scheme. You're walking into next season with enough money to bring back your best defensive player for the next 5 years on top of spending what, $50 mil in free agency? The draft was a botch. No doubt about it. But only in a major market does all of that put you on the hot seat in year 2 of a rebuild.
Isn't this funny that the same point I been making with people who want to keep Idzik but get rid of Geno. Like I said show me where Idzik has shown he could be a good GM? Geno does show flashes of being a good QB.
Can you quote the post where I said that? Also as much as I may disagree with it, there's a certain level of validity to bringing in a new coach, OC and rookie QB at the same time if that's where Idzik is going.
It's too early to say whether Idzik can be a good general manager one way or the other. Drafted Sheldon Drafted Milliner Traded for Ivory Drafted and developed Aboushi Cleared and maintained cap flexibility Signed Decker Traded for Harvin Drafted Amaro
Out of his 19 picks u can only list 4? That Harvin trade will only be good if he still with Jets next season. If not then it sucked to get him at 1-6.
