And some of those points have come in garbage time which you do like to use as an excuse to write off some of Marks picks and bonehead plays. Just to be fair.
Last night and his game against GB wasnt mediocre either. He'll have good games and bad games. I consider that mediocre.
Yeah, you get totally owned on TOP when you manage 9 first down's all game and are 2-11 in third down conversions....and part of that TOP is due to Kelly's system the fast play calling works great when the offense can get first downs, but when the offense is failing to sustain drives you get owned and your defense just is on the field too much
The Green Bay game was never a game. After 2 possesions, Sanchez was down 17-0 on the road in Lambeau. He never had a chance in that spot. Complete team meltdown. Ill admit yesterday there was plays to be made, but even if he did make those plays, I am still not sure they win. The disappointing part for me yesterday was the Eagles defense giving up the TD drive right after they cut it to three points. Having long drives against Seattles defense is a huge psychological hurdle, the Eagles offense finally managed a good drive, but was quickly erased, so that meant they were going to have to do it again. But Seattle showed why they are the champs and why they are about to put together the best title defense since the Patriots repeated in all likelihood.
yeah, it was over before Sanchez had a chance, I mean 17-0 in the first quarter, game over man.....I mean really to allow 17 points before Sanchez ever had the ball....
But you just said Sanchez had the worst performance all year against Seattle, that's false. It was not, and not for nothing, but the Seattle defense had not been the Seattle defense since after opening day. They are back now, so while some guys mad have had success against Seattle in the mid part of the season, it will be difficult to replicate. They are back in full force and are going to be impossibly hard to score on from here on out. Heck i could see them only giving up one more TD the rest of the regular season =/
17-0 after 2 possessions is an insurmountable comeback? Thats nothing for the Eagles highpowered offense.
Why don't you compile a list of teams that have had 17 point comeback victories in Lambeau, be my guest.
Forgot, this part..that's what happens when you leave your defense on the field for 3/4 of the game, and that is in part a fault on Kelly's speed play system...if the offense isn't converting firsts downs the defense spends too much time on the field, 3/4 of the game on the field is just a ridiculous amount of time for a defense to be on the field...part of that is on Kelly for not slowing the pace when the speed game wasn't working.
It is insurmountable when the defense couldn't do much. Eagles got a FG to cut it to 17-3, and the Packers followed it up with another TD drive to make it 24-3 after 3 eagles possessions. How many QBs are in 21 point holes after 3 possessions? make a list of that to while you are at it?
it's not insurmountable but it's pretty damn difficult on the road against that offense. if they were up 17-0 on us they are very much in it but GB is a different beast.
they didn't leave their D on the field, their D couldn't get off the field. if they get some 3rd down stops they aren't on the field as long.
If you're saying a team can't come back from 17 down in Lambeau then they've A ) gotten in to your head and B) you have no faith in your QB.... It may be tough, but if you think it's impossible then it is...there is no team that can't be beaten...unless you believe they can't...
Here you go trolls, make a list of QBs that were in 21 point holes after possesing the ball three times: 15:00 1 02:02 GB 16 7 75 Field Goal 10:20 1 06:47 GB 12 13 88 Touchdown 13:08 2 02:29 GB 20 6 80 Touchdown 07:43 2 05:43 GB 20 10 80 Touchdown 13:08 3 00:30 GB 45 3 -12 Punt 12:14 3 04:21 GB 37 9 48 Field Goal 02:21 3 02:41 GB 20 6 80 Touchdown 14:01 4 01:56 PHI 36 4 4 Missed FG 07:20 4 04:24 GB 22 6 7 Blocked Punt 01:49 4 01:49 GB 6 3 -3 End of Game It doesnt matter who you had back there, the game was not going to be won.
Yup, like the defender crossing the line of scrimmage on 3rd and 4. I swear, I thought the Eagles were getting the ball back, Seattle was about to go three and out. But I guess getting defensive penalties is the offense's fault right trolls?
Why does the game being out of hand absolve Mark of his mediocre play? It's the one thing I never understand when it comes to defense of players. He obviously wasnt the sole reason they lost, but he played below average. Green Bay scored 53 points. So even if Mark had a good game, they probably would have lost. That doesnt absolve the fact that he played poorly. He still made bad decisions.
