From my point of view, he held the ball too long on several occasions and he does not check out of a play doomed before it begins. This is a consistent weakness. When he has plenty of time and has a favorable match up, he's fine.
So you picked Seattle, but if Foles got hurt you were picking Philly, which he did, yet in this post you are saying with Foles hurt Seattle is going to the SB I'm confused But that's your gameplan I'm sure if Philly or Seattle gets there you will say you called it all along
he did hold the ball too long which was b/c Seattle was doing a great job in the secondary. Mark didn't have a good game but Seattle is playing great and they dominated the Philly O and the Sea O dominated the Philly D. Philly's STs kept that game reasonably close.
they would be foolish to go back to Foles, the problem was not at QB yesterday. I don't think Foles is ready anyway.
They said on the broadcast that while he isnt 100% he is just about ready to go. And the vibe that I have gotten from Eagle fans is that its 60-40 they want Foles in there. Most fans from the message boards I've looked at dont like either of them, but would prefer Foles.
Yes. But if they don't I think Seattle wins it all. But if they do bench Sanchez I want Dallas to win it because I've been defending Romo for many years. I picked Seattle over New England.
he still hasn't been cleared to practice, it wouldn't make sense to rush him back. Mark was great at Dallas last week and they face Dallas again this week. Seattle can make any QB look bad and Mark was not bad yesterday- he wasn't good either.
I didnt know he wasnt cleared for practice, thanks. I'm just going by the general consensus I'm getting from Eagles fans. Most seem to prefer Foles at this point, but not by much. A good game against Dallas is exactly what the Eagles need right now. He did play very well against them last time, and should have a good game. He has to, since the loser of this game might not make the playoffs.
Mark has played better than Foles this season although nowhere near as well as Foles last year. Foles at his best wouldn't have changed yesterday, that was not about the QB. Seattle is playing like 2013 Seattle right now and when they do they are the best team in football.
You keep saying this and I havent disagreed once yet, lol. I dont know if Tom Brady is beating that team yesterday. I would definitely put money on Seattle winning the SB again, they look ridiculously good. All I'm saying is that many Eagle fans would prefer Foles to Sanchez right now. A good game against Dallas could change that.
You're seriously going to disparage me for referring to rankings and averages when you admit Mark had a mediocre day? Just FYI it was the worst passing performance against Seattle this year by any team. only game under 100 yards, only one of 2 other games under 150 yards (kansas City and SFO, both of which have big problems with their passing games). I think, I may be wrong here, but lowest completion percentage.
Foles and Sanchez are essentially the Same QB, except Mark turns the ball over more and takes more sacks and Foles is better in the pocket but worse rolling out. Sanchez has more than 100 fewer drop backs but has already been sacked 33% more times than Foles (and that factors in that Sanchez has avoided some sacks with his mobility that Foles doesn't have where Sanchez got past the LOS to avoid the sack). In fewer drop backs and games he's put the ball on the ground 4 times compared to Foles once, he's lost 2 fumbles as opposed to Foles 1. His TD% is higher than Foles by .9% But his interception rate is also higher than Foles by .4%. The team is 4 and 2 under Sanchez (one of those games was 1/4 Foles) Foles was 5 and 2 with the team. Both lost 2 games against teams over .500, both won 1 game against teams over .500. Care to say again how Sanchez is clearly better? Sanchez is higher than Foles in only two "fantasy stats"...completion percentage by 3% and TD%.....
Seattle is playing great defense now, what they did 2 months ago means nothing. He had 2 TDs and helped them score 14 pts. they had given up 6 pts TOTAL the last 2 games. The Eagles as a team got beat up in 2 of the 3 phases.
his INT rate is higher but most were either not his fault or in garbage time, Foles throws more critical INTs.
Game reference JUNC for someone who claims to watch football and always claim about a need for context...one of those TD drives was a 14 yard drive...total 14 yards....that took a 4th and 1 try because they couldn't endzone....So basically he led the Eagles on one scoring drive that was longer than 15 yards in total...and it if hadn't been for a gutsy call by the HC it would have been 3 points instead of 7...and to get the first down did they trust it to Sanchez? Nope, went to the ground game.
ROFL...the excuse truck is backing in full force. Only 1 pick was with the game out of reach....in one case that you refer to as a junc time came against GB in the early 3rd with the team only down 3 scores....The eagles are a team that's put up 4 scores in a half many times. that's not out of reach, that's not junc time..though it was after the pick as that killed any chance of winning.
there are always excuses, 14 yds. they scored, right? I am not putting him in Canton over the 1 yd TD but they scored 14 pts in the game. he also had a deep ball that should have been a TD but the receiver was interfered w/ but no flag was thrown. they couldn't ruin, their WRs couldn't get open, they couldn't block. what did you want him to do?
Ill listen to Troy Aikman, he said even Joe Montana couldnt have won yesterday. So you guy can get on here and bash on Sanchez, he is fair game, but when Seattle goes into Lambeau in a month and shuts down the great Aaron Rodgers (again for a second time), you will not be able to say much in regards to Sanchez's play yesterday. Defense wins, thats just it. So at the end of the day, Seattle is going to win this whole thing unless a team can get the run game going against them. Dallas might be capable of doing it, but Dallas didnt beat the same Seahawks team we saw yesterday. They are healthy and back on the level we saw in the Super Bowl. It is what it is, Eagles and Sanchez are still alive so they will get to live another day.
