The New York Jets (2-11) take on the Tennessee Titans (2-11) in what is sadly our biggest game of the year. If the Raiders are able to hold on to beat the 49ers, we have an inside track to a top 2 pick if we lose out. Unfortunately the Titans probably have the same idea. As sad as it sounds, this game has a huge impact on the direction of our franchise. I've never had less of a desire to win a game. This one should be even sloppier than today's mediocrity bout with Minnesota; the Titans just got blown out by a dreadful Giants team. We actually have a good chance of winning this. We might get Mo back so our front will be back in full force against a rookie QB who literally doesn't move in the pocket. On the flip side, it looks like we may be without Harvin, who was huge for the offense today. (he left the stadium on crutches) Discuss? *flinches*
I wouldn't mind picking after the Titans as long as the Bucs pick after us. I'd be fine with Mariota or Winston
I remember they layed a lick on us (lmfao) last year in Tenn. Has their defense changed much? Geno was brutal last year against them hopefully we can lose
Last year and the year before.. 2012 in Tennessee was the shit show from Sanchez on MNF that eliminated us
They need to start Locker against us, I believe they put 28-0 extremely quickly before we killed Locker lol
Reminds me of the Herm Edwards bowl where the Jets "lost" and got stuck with Vernon Gholston. I mean Glenn Dorsey isn't much better and McFadden hasn't worked out for Oakland but still. I remember that was the final game of the year and final regular season game on TV since it went into OT and nobody wanted that game.
They have nobody who can stop the run, they are absolutely terrible against it. They also have no Wright or Hunter so they don't have much going at WR either. The hope is they get up for Chris Johnson in his return.....but no matter how much they want CJ to not have a big game, they just aren't talented enough to do it. Knowing Rex, he will force feed Johnson until he can't no more since this is a big game for Johnson and all.
Very good news. Was just on the titans board and Mittenburger is out for the season so Jake will get the start.
Yeah, our high DP choices haven't worked out real well for us and if history is any indication, we'll screw this pick up as well. I do have some hope that whomever is GM will do better than JI. Not sure it's possible to do worse. If JI is still picking, we might as well win out and draft another Safety or CB.
Jake destroyed the Jets last year until he got hurt. The problem the Titans have is outside of Delanie Walker and (maybe) Nate Washington, they've got nothing talented on offense. Sankey's a nice back but vs the Jets Run D, its going to be tough. and Greene is the type of back the Jets feast on, They are terrible. But I mean Locker's playing for a contract with another team, he's going to play effortlessly for this alone.
What?!!!? The Jets did not get stuck with Gholston. They willingly drafted that piece of shit who was not even good in college.
