I can't advise you on how fake a fan you want to be, but no, Mariota has been and will continue to be exceptional. Funny, after a not particularly stellar first half he came on very strong in the second half and while he missed a few throws and nearly had 2 picks, he actually threw NO interceptions, completed 66% of his passes for over 300 yards and produced 4 TDs. In shitty conditions. And folks are dumping on his game. Yet, a guy some are still clamoring for last week threw FOUR INTERCEPTIONS, completing 50% of his passes for only 125 yards. At home. Makes sense to you? I don't know about you, but I'm not rooting for us to win any more games. Not rooting to lose, mind you, lest I be called a fake fan. _
If Mariota isn't our target we are in big trouble going forward. Cause that would mean that the people in charge are still clueless.
I hope the Bucs get Mariota and all the idiots here that dont want him have to watch him light up the league
Don't be like that. Let's get him and mock those idiots when he's lighting up the league for our Jets. _
College Football sucks big time. Championship game. Georgia Tech up 14-7 and their QB didn't throw the ball even once. And 4th ranked Florida defense couldn't even force a punt.
you don't get it both ways. either you don't care or you do one way or another. you want your favorite team to lose so they can draft Mariota, because you think he'll surely save the team. just admit it, don't puss out, own it.
Winston hands it off and then body slams a dude trying to tackle him instead haha. The guy is a badass on the field
naive? yeah, okay. cause I'm sure either these two are 100% sure to save everything, which would be the only justification for wanting your team to lose, which you do. keep those min, ten, and patsy jerseys wrinkle free in the coming weeks as you abandon a team you hope to return to over a flawed premise! Its just a game, its easy for some to that I guess, I have to accept that.
are either of these two even declared? neither are seniors, if they want to come back they can. Famous in particular might want to take a lesson learned from Johnny football and stay a while longer. not because either can't succeed mind you, its just that they seem to take to the college lifestyle more.
I don't think this is necessarily true. For me, I conceptually want the Jets to lose out and get the 2nd overall pick... Theoretically that will give us the best chance to pick the best player we can and increases the Jets agency and leverage for the draft. That said, when the Jets are actually playing I can't help but root for them. During the Miami game, for example, not once did I not support the Jets, even though in the back of my mind I know it might be better off for the team to lose these meaningless games. Why can't I have both?
Remind me, you're the dude that thinks a rag tag bunch of losers can LEARN how to win by winning absolutely meaningless games at the end of an abject failure of a lost season with a staff that is no doubt on it's way out and you'd prefer that to having better talent and a potential franchise QB. Hey Rudy, this isn't Disney or The Mighty Ducks. This is the NFL. Talent wins. Not spirit and pep rallies and teamwork. You don't LEARN how to win in the NFL, you learned that at every level of football you played since 6th grade. Superior talent wins in the NFL. Not camaraderie. Stop being naive. _
Tony there's already a thread where you can stupidly bitch About people who want the team to lose. This is about mariotas and wintsons championship games.
Winston looks good, not at all impressed by GA Tech's defense though. They're supposedly good at forcing turnovers, they don't look like it. Mainly because they're getting mauled up front and Winston isn't going to misfire often if you give him this much time.
Winston and Mariota aren't afraid to check down, I like that. When the big play isn't there they take what the defense gives them.
