I can criticize anything I want to, I'd be embarrassed if I was him or any person that contributed to it but not all people are good people like myself. I understand that.
Our GM was. He's the problem. He's the reason why we are a joke now. He's been inept two straight years. I'm done with him, he needs to go.
And I am a very patient fan and person in general. But this ass-clown needs to go. I don't want him around fucking up the next draft and HC hiring.
They raised money for the purpose of putting up the billboard. That was their priority and yet they STILL donated money to charity, that they didn't have to do. Based on your logic, why are you buying season tickets every year? Why aren't you donating that money to help sick or hungry children instead? Priorities right?
Pat yourself on the back. Having a different opinion than us makes you a better person than us. It is Friday night. I hope you are eating toast and jam for dinner. Because if you go out and spend money on a nice meal, you could have donated that money to hungry children. Or if you plan on buying a $7 drink at a bar, I suggest you stay home and give that $7 to find a cure for ebola.
As much as I disagree with you on how they are going about this. I do agree with what you're saying here.
that says a lot about people that is was their priority. you don't know how much I donate time or money wise. yep, that is the EXACT same thing as spending money on a billboard to get a man fired. My family has to eat, no one needs a billboard to get a man fired. we all make decisions in life, I like to make decisions my family can be proud of me for. I'd be ashamed if I raised money to get another man fired.
I'll go one step further. For all the money they spend on Jets gear and tickets they could just stay at home watch the games and donate all that money.
you can say that about ANYTHING that adults spend their hard earned money on that isn't essential. It is called expendable income. And I guarantee that the $25 people donated didn't effect their ability to do positive things for the community if that is what they want to do. So to cast people who put money in to this as some sort of bad person is absurd. How do you know everybody who put up a few dollars for our cause isn't also putting up much more for homeless people or sick children? He is just running his mouth and wants to feel like he is better than us. People who do good for the sake of doing good don't talk about it. They just do it.
If a shareholder of a corporation petitions the company to fire an underperforming CEO do you feel the same way? This is business, not personal.
Common sense and decency might also suggest that nobody buys a thing within the confines of MetLife and writes a check Monday morning for the equivalent amount to the charity of their choice. Two birds, one stone.
justify it all you want, you may be good people outside of this but you are doing a bad thing. I don't feel I am better than anyone, I just know I wouldn't raise money to get a man fired and I love the Jets as much anyone and want to see a winner as much as anyone but I am a human being too. I don't care. a business none of you guys are in.
