Why does everyone think San Fran give a shit about Oakland? They're in different conferences

    Demote Rex Ryan to DC
And hire Rob Ryan as HC
Also bring in Rex's son as OC (he had great prospecting skills with tajh Boyd)

    Boom we win the NFL

What would happen if the Giants picked up a former Jet (who left under contentious circumstances) and he lead them to success?

I just posted my off season mock in the draft forum. Pep for me but any of them in the poll is acceptable to me. However, I rather not making a trade for Jim Harbaugh.

If not Harbaugh who would be better? A college guy when those generally don't do well? The fantasy that Gruden or Cowher are coming out of retirement? The hot OC of the month? The guy has a resume. He has won two division titles and won a playoff game with TJ Yates as his QB. He is offensive minded. He won two SBs as offensive coordinator and was Steve Young's QB coach when he won the SB in 1994.

My point is this guy has proven he can win. Just about any of the other candidates have never been a head coach. There are a lot of people on the board who do not want another first time head coach. So under these guidelines, who would be a better candidate than Kubiak?

I nominate JStokes as headcoach, abyzmul as offensive coordinater, and Mangolden Showers as defensive coordinator.

That's a 5 star staff right there, fully capable of winning the super bowl.

    Hue Jackson?

never got much of a shot at OAK after he took 'em to an 8-8 season and is INCREDIBLY tenured in coaching QB's like Flacco and currently Dalton.

might be exactly what we're looking for.

Someone who can take this offense to another level.

    Our offenses have really suffered.

I'd be better suited at DC.

    Gotta be Jim Harbough.

    Why?

Take a look at the team he inherited in SF. They had very good defensive players but zero faith in their offense and coaching staff. I think our D has great players and had more faith in Rex but zero in the offense. The team he got in SF is very similar to what he would be getting with the Jets.

Harbough is excellent at getting players to play to their strengths and hides their weaknesses. Plus I believe he has a great eye for talent at the draft.

Is he a bit of a loon? Sure... But I think that guy lives, breaths and sleeps football and that what we need right now. I think if we can somehow land Harbough and Mariota (In my opinion a better version of Kaep) we would be set to make a run at the division title.

BTW his wife not wanting to leave the Bay area is BS and just a bargaining chip in contract negotiations for more $$$

Harbaugh is my first choice. But there is no evidence Harbaugh has an eye for drafting talent. Trent Baalke runs the Niners drafts and is also the person Garbaugh has so much friction with.

It had to be someone from the offensive side. Your most important player is you QB and the Jets HAVE to develop one. I suppose you could bring in a top OC to do that. We certainly have not brought in a top man. (BS, Sparano (yuk yuk) and MM are not top notch in my book.) So maybe top DC coming in could lure a top OC. But that OC could be gone (promoted)in a year. That is why I think the head man has to be a QB friendly guy. Oh, and it must be a disciplinarian.

    I didn't get an offer?

Guess I'll head over for an interview with the other New York football team.
