what is an LEO? and you should look it up, some bad things have happened. doesn't mean they are all in the wrong and it doesn't mean it was race related. every black/white or white/black crime is not race related though the way it is portrayed every black on white is ignored, every white on black is race related.

Junc, get off your fucking high horse - you aren't as knowledgeable as you say you are and I told you Mark fucking sucked as a Jet time and time again with plenty of reason. I don't need anyone to tell me how to think, I see what happened in the video and what happen was fucking wrong.

One is dead and the other ain't that's the difference. Apparently, selling cigs is a death related punishment. But I guess being drunk as hell just gets you a quick 5 second choke right?

This is actually a very good point. A half decent DA if he really wants to can get any indictment he wants. On the other hand, a DA that really doesn't want an indictment can pretty well assure that outcome as well. Only one side of the story gets told to the grand jury. The failure of a grand jury to indict really doesn't tell you a whole lot.

    LEO= Law Enforcement Officer.

One more time Junc, show me a link to back up that bullshit you stated in your post. Show me where a Black LEO killed an unarmed White person for any reason and was NOT INDICTED. Mall Cop, Cop, State Trooper, National Guardsman, FBI... Any LEO will do at any level. Local, State, Federal, CIA, NSA....

If you can't, that just says that you're talking out of your ass trying to find equivocation anyway you can and we know that couldn't possibly be the case here..

you told me and you were wrong and now I am not saying you are wrong w/ regards to these real life issues but you are rushing to judgment, you are doing what the Reverends want you to do instead of waiting for the facts to come out. Each case is different, one has nothing to do w/ the other.

It tells you just how much a DA really wanted an indictment doesn't it...

Exactly.. And that's why I am most pissed about the ferguson case. I understand it's a complicated case- maybe the cop was innocent, who knows, but it sure as hell should've gone to trial. It seems like a fishy inside job as is

I could really care less about religion and reverends - they don't dictate my life and I'm def not a Christian. I doubt we see more facts coming out because the guy isn't being indicted - move on nothing to see here that's what happening now.

Yeah the grand jury is not determining whether a crime was committed, they are deciding if there is a possibility a crime was committed. If so, it goes to trial and plays out at trial.

Nearly all the time we go to trial and it has been a sore spot for some saying that when someone wants an indictment they can get one even with not great evidence because it's only their side of the story they have to tell.

What's that old saying: "dead men tell no tales.." Makes the whole grand jury process just a tad one sided. Even with video, this grand jury chose not to believe their lying eyes.

Any bets the kid that got killed in brooklyn while walking down the staircase gets slimed in the media and the cop won't be indicted?

Yeah.. He'll probably get "contributions from concerned citizens" to help with his legal funds although he won't be charged. I'm hoping the Garners sue the City and the PBA for gargantuan money. Since they can't get due process, maybe they can get paid.

I've been following this subreddit for a year or so and it details thousands of fucked up things cops have done around this country. Most would make a much better national news story than that turd Michael Brown and the predictable response from his community.

Instead, the media hypes a case that will enrage racial tension and cause riots and looting.

Oh, my bad, the media is always blameless in any situation.

Byz, I don't see the folks out in Staten Island imitating Ferguson. I see some protests, but you won't get the uber anger like you have in Ferguson as folks in NYC are desensitized and are used to this sort of thing happening. Yeah, you'll get Sharpton out there getting his facetime but for the most part, you won't see a Ferguson II. I'd like to think folks in Staten Island are smarter than that.

They are currently flooding midtown Manhattan. Hopefully some face time in front of the tree before it lights up tonight.

I'm not surprised there's no belt fed .50cals mounted on Humvee's trained on the protesters. You can get away with a heavy handed response in Podunk, but the eyes of the world are on NYC tonite. The US is slowly but surely losing the "moral highground" in the eyes of the world.

Humvees nothing, they had MRAPs in Ferguson. The government basically gave them to most of the larger cities over a year ago. That's what they were rolling into Ferguson a few days before the verdict.

And I'm absolutely positive that NYC has a garage full of them.

I have a lot more sympathy for Garner, than I do for Bigmike(which is none). But will people, please, stop fucking with the police. Comply, then have your day in court. One thing though,Garner was being handled the same way anyone would resisting arrest. His problem was his ailment. But if you know this, then don't make the cops take you down. And yes,it does take 4 people to cuff one that size.

By the way ,just so you know, unarmed white kids get killed by cops sometimes too. And what really baffles me,is there could be 15 black on black murders in that neighborhood that day and people on the street wont be able to tell you who killed who or what, add a white or a cop in and they got a novel!

My problem with the process is that, it brings up the rough problem that the dead person gets put on trial too, and there's nothing they can say.

I just don't get why you don't send this trial (As you would any other case) and let the evidence decide. Use the justice system how it used for everyone else. Due process and what not.
