Man it would be so Jet like to miss out on the next great QB by a pick or two. I am 100% behind getting in front of whoever you need to to assure Mariota.

I would be surprised if we don't draft higher than 4.

Don't be a tease. Who is it?

    Carden's throwing mechanics bother me.

I hope he does stay. We need him at ND, but if his stock rises he'll come out. I can live with it if Jets land him.

Jets having QBs as turnover machines bothers me more. Carden has shown to be very smart with the ball and doesn't cause many turnovers. Carden isn't perfect, but no QB is, I just like the idea if we can't land Mariota to draft a mid round QB to develop.

Great pick with Cooper I really hope we land him. Everyone here wants to say "hey lets fix the O-line first" sound strategy but the caliber pick we're getting we have to take best talent available.
If we miss out on Cooper(unlikely) we have to take look at Randy Gregory. I don't want to miss out on a future top pass rusher in the league because we wanted to beef up the line.
Peat should be best in class but I don't think he's a surefire Probowl LT although I would rather have him than Cedric Ogbuehi

Edit: All changes if we go Winston,if he's on the board and he grades out as franchise QB..we take him

I think what may hurt Stanley to the common person has been Golson's ball security and struggles as he's really, really dipped off but I think Stanley's done a very good job. Now I never thought about him as a fringe 1st rounder but I get it that OTs are a hot commodity and he could raise his stock significantly in the coming months.

I think he needs another year to really polish himself but if his stock is indeed rising, no way would he stay.

Love this draft!!!!! Especially Rounds 1 and 4. Too bad Idzik will still be here and pick the direct opposite.

He plays in a basketball conference though, and he is a thug that steals and rapes*.

Stanley will go top 5 if he declares, his upside is ridiculous

Remember the way Lane Johnson climbed in 2013, yeah just like that

No way Stanley would be a top 5 in this draft, there are more experienced LTs that are better than him at this point. If he declares, I see him, at best, a Mid 1st Rd pick. Next year, 2016's draft, with a great Senior year, I could see Stanley being a Top 10 pick.

Just saw the game-tape of Notre Dame v Stanford. This Stanley guy is pretty good, surprised I never heard of him (I don't watch Notre Dame games much). He's pretty strong, and everything movement wise looks very fluid. Moves well with his feet, and he can attack defenders at multiple angles with really good balance.

    101,

Here's a nice article on Stanley. I really noticed him earlier in the season watching Notre Dame games. I think he probably will stay another year, but you never know.

Damn underclassmen I tell you! My favorite part of the article that shows he would immediately be an upgrade at tackle:

None of our lineman do that! I hope this kid comes out. So many good juniors right now in college.

Not a fan of Shane Carden. Barely 6 1 in height with this terrible arm motion. I would rather to settle down with Matt Simms who has good height to overcome his throwing angle.

If Mariota is gone we are in a real tight spot... Cooper is a great pick and i'm a Bama fam and love this kid BUT our QB issue can't be ignored... I don't like Winston I think he has so many skeletons in the closet and is the most "unclean" QB we have seen since Vick... Having said that, I cant see us passing on him. We need a QB bad and he can step in day 1 and play at a top level. This kid could possibly be the best QB at the collegiate level EVER if he goes undefeated.

Having said all that lets just hope Mariota is there for us and Harbough turns him into a much better version of Kaep.

Bring Winston in with our 1st pick and hire Chad Pennington to be his handler. Just like Dez Bryant.
