While I'd rather be posting a thread about cheering for teams with losing records to beat fellow playoff contenders it just can't happen so rather than messing around and once again costing ourselves a great pick I'm pulling for us to get the best one possible. Nothings worse than sucking and then missing out on a chance to get better. I'll update it each week. Week 15 Currently 1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: 2-11 (.488) 2. Tennessee Titans: 2-11 (.490) 3. Jacksonville Jaguars: 2-11 (.522) 4. New York Jets: 2-11 (.549) 5. Oakland Raiders: 2-11 (.590) 6. Washington Redskins: 3-10 (.500) 7. New York Giants: 4-9 (.522) Jets @ Titans - biggest game of the year absolutely have to lose Giants vs Skins - in case we mess up and win a game it would best for the Skins to win Buccaneers @ Panthers - panthers destroyed the saints last week doesn't look good Jags @ Ravens - Jags looked good for a little while in front of an empty crowd last week Raiders @ Chiefs - won't be easy to sweep the series but it's possible #1 pick Jets 0-3 Jags win 1 Bucs win 1
Yep guaranteed to at least move up 1 spot if we keep losing. Yeah he's not invested in as much as Carr being a 6th round pick but maybe he can bounce back from his injury last week and prove worthy.
The bucs are the only threat for Mariota...I don't see Titans taking him. The only issue is I think we will win at least 2 games and no way the bucs get 1 win
It seemed from the start that he was especially highly thought of for a 6th round pick. And he hasn't fared too badly thus far. If he can keep playing well or showing promise maybe they'll end up just going with a good veteran QB
The titans, bucs and jax are all a threat to take Mariota and Winston. We are so fucked if we win another game
Jets luck says Oakland gets Cooper (can't see this happening but it's oakland so...) Tampa gets Mariota & Tennessee gets Winston, Jags get whatever other stud makes his way to the top of the prospect list, and the Giants will draft whoever the Jets passed on that will one day be in Canton. I can see it now ^_^ btw the jets draft a good OL or a bust.
At this point, unless something can happen in week 15 or 16, I think the Jets' only realistic chance is to finish 4th. They really screwed the pooch when they beat the Steelers. The Titans could conceivably beat the Giants, but I can't see the Bucs beating the Lions or the Jags beating the Texans.
We have a head to head with the Titans so we can get in front of them, the only problem is the Bucs. It's funny how a 12 men on offense penalty between and NFC south team and the Bengals can impact the course of our team so greatly. It's a weird league.
Of course. Beat them in the playoffs? Nah. Beat them when the game means something and can help the team make the playoffs? Nah. Meaningless game where it actually hurt the team? Sure, why not? What else would we expect from the effing Jets?
Imma cheer for the jets. root against teams that play the jets. root against the Pats because fuck'em. Bills and sea rapists, likewise. don't give a damn about the rest.
