This thread's title is pretty self-explanatory. We all like pizza, but toppings are often a more delicate subject. Please select your favorite pizza topping from the choices listed. If your favorite pizza topping isn't listed, feel free to chime in with an unjustifiably angry comment complaining about it.
Pepperoni is the most popular, but if you get pizza from a local place usually their italian sausage is the best. The best is my favorite. Anyone who try to says the ham/pineapple combo should just not post in this thread
Hawaiian pizza was invented in Canada, that should tell you enough, they should have never let it over the border.
If I could only have one topping on a pizza it would pepperoni. If I could choice multiple toppings, I would pick pineapple, onions, and bacon.
I'm a fan of a crisp crust and load up the veggie toppings. ........ no, I'm not a vegetarian Anchovies are weird, but I like them anyway fruit doesnt belong on pizza..... or in beer. Even Soxx's middle school girl sized "corona's" (which is mexican for "american sucker" )
For a non tomato based pizza, the best and most unique pie I've ever had, and we make it now, is prosciutto, fig jam, rosemary, fontina cheese and parm reggiano. The saltiness of the crispy prosciutto with the sweetness of the melted fig jam is just delicious. My favorite tomato based topping is breaded fried eggplant. Then sausage, pepper and onions. _
Imo pepperoni is the best topping. Just the perfect amount of spiciness and chewiness. I just wanted to add pizza is one of the great things about living in the NYC area. Does that mean you can't get good pizza elsewhere? No. But it is harder, and while I have my favorite near me, no place around us sells bad pizza. Now Mexican on the other hand...
