This was by far and away my favorite game of the season. Not the best, but by far the most productive:

    - Showed beyond a shadow of a doubt that Geno is not the answer.
    - Provided damning evidence that you can Ground and Pound all you want (even to recent historic levels) and it doesn't mean a damn thing in the modern game without the threat of a passing game.
    - Held up a giant middle finger to Idzik and the entire F.O. including Woody, who they had a shot of right before the 1st Ivory almost-fumble, sitting in the owners box hobnobbing like he was at a political fundraiser, not even watching the team he owns.
    - Was quintessential Rex, who absolutely needs to go but I'm glad he's going out on his own terms.
    - Exposed the gay sharks (for the second week straight) as soft.
    - Didn't hurt our quest for the Duck (or at least the Coop).
    - Was just un-shitty enough to let me whoop the guy who started Landry, Wallace, and the Fins' defense against me, and get me into the playoffs.

I'm a die-hard Jet fan, and I approve this failure.

Sorry Jets fans...seems like you have some talent, you were blowing us off the ball most of the night. With even a below-average QB it would have been a rout. Hope it gets better.

I've been lurking for the last year or so, but the house needs to be cleaned. I don't mind losing, but when you have pettiness like what was displayed last night, everyone has to go.

I was a defender of Idzik, but not anymore. Guy can't get it done. I'm confident with right moves and strong coach, things get better.

I was wondering whatever happened to you. 2014 must have been pretty hard on you AJ. Well, I think we'll see real change happen now. Especially with the situation between the FO and the CS.

Yup - just get rid of everybody. Rebuild around the DL and draft OL and playmakers. Wasted season...

The Mariota pick isn't happening unless the Bucs and Titans start winning as of now they are ahead of us in the draft.

No it wasn't. Geno never took his eyes off of Cumberland with the LB on him which is why TWO safeties were there when the ball arrived. He can't make reads, he can't disguise his intentions and on top of that he can't make accurate throws with any consistency.

The benefit of playing Simms is that it would make it clear the Jets are in the tank the rest of the way. That would lower fan expectations (hard to imagine but yes it can get worse) and take some of the pressure off the team in the 0-4 finish.

I thought they were getting one last look at Geno to see if he were backup material. But they decided to play last night without benefit of a QB. I think they played Geno because they did not want to insult a vet like Vick by turning him into a handoff machine. Or perhaps Geno's start was dictated to Rex and this was his childish answer? Who knows?

I saw the run first strategy as trying to get the game over quicker by burning up the clock. The Fins can't stop the run so why pass the ball? The problem in the design was the Geno's 10-ish passes should have been on 2nd and short, which the Jets were in all night, not on 3rd and long. If you're going to run the ball 80% of the time don't throw it on the one down the defense will be looking for a pass.

It was just a sloppy implementation of an otherwise good game plan.

Let Geno throw on 2nd and 2.

Starting Simms means that they are trying something. anything it will take to win.

Not doing so means that they have given up and have no new ideas.

He has been on the practice squad or inactive. It doesn't matter if he is on the 53 at this point. Other teams had plenty of time to snag him up if he was someone with an upside.

We've seen him in the starting role, he is not this hidden gem people are trying to make it out to be. Things are bad and people are reaching hard for answers if people really think Simms could be the answer.

We don't have a good QB on this roster. Vick is past his prime, Geno makes some of the dumbest throws, plays, and is a turnover machine, Simms doesn't have enough upside to be a starter in this league. He will be a career backup, which is a needed role in this league.

My logic is fine, you are trying to associate the CS and their abilities with my overall argument, I'm not trying to say the coaching staff this or that, I'm simply saying we don't have a good QB on this roster period.

It doesn't matter who you start a QB, it's all pointless. The answer isn't on this team.

People thinking Simms could be our saving grace are reaching. All I'm saying.

Well then Geno has no value even as a backup. So why not play Vick? You are not going to learn anything more about Geno

I actually was happy with the game plan last night. The coaching staff can actually game plan to Geno's skills instead of trying to force a substandard player to do things he can't. I was very disappointed in the O- Line Why they cannot pass protect is beyond me. D Brick was horrible. I think Rex is gone but I think he was set up by the GM and the GM needs to go as well.

I wanted to win but the loss will at least help our draft position.
