Our OC? ....no thanks, I know he did not have a good dynamic here with the jets but his track record as a HC is not something that I would take lightly.

He was terrible, I believe he will just continue with the losing if named HC.

His playcalling in the redzone leaves a lot to be desired, even when the running game is going well, he abandons it. I would like to add that maybe the WCO does not emphasize the running game as much as I like, but I also think that it's a negative aspect, sometimes you have to go with what's working and give the RB the ball 20 plus times a game.

I saw Denver against the Chiefs the other night and Andy Reid only gave the ball to Charles 13 times. How do you have that kind of weapon and not use it?

I'd love this, it's something akin to bringing in Parcells, it'll give us instant credibility.

This franchise not only needs a new head coach/GM, but it needs a total change in culture, and that's something Harbaugh would do for us.

Maybe Idzik should trade our entire draft for Jimmy, at least at the end of the day you could say he drafted well

If we let Rex go we better have either Jim Harbough or Adam Gace in place.

Dont act like Rex is irreplaceable. The guy is a garbage head coach. I would take pretty much anyone over this clown.

This reminds me of when the Jets fired Mangini, then made it loud and clear that "they would do whatever necessary" to hire Cowher. Then a couple of days later they even made it clear they'd fire their GM for him.

    http://www.newsday.com/news/new-yor...hatever-is-necessary-to-land-cowher-1.1126065

Then he farted in their general direction, and they hired their fourth rookie head coach in a decade.

Get ready for number 5, who is bound to be a number two.

He'll want his own people. And he won't come without his right GM.

If memory serves, wasn't Woody on some kind of vacation and refused to come back and interview Cowher? That's when Cowher said fck it and moved on. Just like almost everything Woody has touched since he bought the team, it went downhill and continues that trending till this day.

That was rumored from what I remember, but I found it funny that anyone thought Cowher would drop his broadcasting job at the time.

If you know what reports made that one clear, of be interested in reading.

And he should have it. I want a HC with full control. I want the GM to handle contracts. I want the HC to pick players. I want the HC to have a pair of balls and start who he wants starting.

Something like that. I recall it being a laughable pipedream and that Johnson was not in the area for a spell.

The fact that Cowher hasn't taken a head coaching job since retiring points more towards him not wanting to coach more than some Woody conspiracy that he refused to meet with him.

Or are we to believe Woody and the Jets are a complete joke but it was the one job that would have brought Cowher back to coaching?

We should hire John Gruden out of the broadcast booth. If nothing else we won't have to listen to him call another monday night game
