First pick is a pipe dream at this point. Hopefully the QB needy teams have picks too high to justify a trade up. Jets cant be trading next years first rounder to move up for Mariota. I could deal with trading next years second if we absolutely had to. We're more than likely going to have another really high pick next year. I'm not comfortable trading that pick considering we'll be able to get an elite prospect with it. Who knows what the QB's are going to look like next year, if we cant get MM this year.
We will be in a 3 way tie with Tampa and Tennessee, and Ive seen Tampa's schedule...wow they probably will not win another game which SUCKS for us because we play Tennessee and it will literally probably be for the opportunity to draft the next QB available after Tampa
TB could beat the Panthers or the Saints, honestly. Titans can beat the Jags or Jets. I agree with your overarching statement, though.
TB has a very good chance to beat Carolina. I have Cam on my fantasy team, and I've been following them all season. Carolina is putrid.
If the Jets drop the rest of their games, the Jags beat the Titans, and Tampa beats Carolina or NO, we draft second. Raiders schedule basically guarantees them a #1. I wonder what it'd cost us to move up from #2 to #1?
I don't think we get to one and cost to trade would be too much. Just pick at where we end up (probably around 5th) or even trade down to fill more needs.
I couldn't even believe Tampa allowed it to happen, how do you allow 12 men with the game literally on the line
If we finish third overall and Oakland is first we could leapfrog TB and tell Oakland 'look TB wants QB too, no way they take Cooper or pass rusher!'
I think we can get the second overall pick. I don't think we will win again and Jax could beat Tenn, same goes for TB against Carolina. both games are toss ups.
If you thought the Dolphins could not stop the run, get ready to watch the Titans. The lone caveat is they will get up to stop Chris Johnson but even then......they lack the talent up front to stop anything. They need Leonard Williams in the worst way possible.
Alright here is a scenario, Tanny style. We have the second pick. Oakland has the first. We trade our 2015 2nd, 3rd and 4th, 2016 1st, 2017 2nd for the number one overall. We take Marcus Mariota with the first from Oakland and select Amari Cooper with our 2nd overall pick. Offensive coup, and we finally bid farewell to ground and pound.
Why would Oakland give up a first overall pick for what could potentially end up being a mid 1st round pick. No way they do that.
Plus it's become apparent that the New Raiders regime values draft picks and as bad as they are they need their #1 pick this year, especially if they're going to try to sell themselves to LA. Biggest reason no NFL team has stayed in LA for long since the 80's is that LA just won't support a losing team, they'll barely support a winning team if it doesn't have star power....very fickle fan base.
