Anybody else interested in seeing where he goes? I've heard he's interested in getting on TV, but I can't imagine he won't entertain offers for a DC or even a HC position. I think an interesting landing spot would be the Eagles considering his connection to Mark, but also there's the chance Mark leaves too. I think Chip and Rex would make one hell of a duo though.

I've believed he would go to tv and wait, but I could see him going to Philly as a DC buts that's it. You add a defense to that team and they are very very good.

Either way I see Rex getting a HC job again like lovie and wisenhunt.

Not the least bit interested and would hope it is on the west coast, or better yet - nowhere - so he is far away and allow the Jets to begin a quest for a real football identity.

Probably depends on whats out there but I could def see him being a head coach in Chicago or Atlanta and being a success.

He'll eventually get another shot as a head coach, but it may be a little too soon. I think it'd make sense for him to go to tv and wait, but I'd really like to a Chip Kelly-Rex Ryan tandem.

I don't know if I'll root for him per say, but I would definitely be interested in seeing how he fares.

His father was in Philly at a point to correct? but yeah if he went to Philly and they won a Super Bowl, he would get credit and a job.

Francesser is not always right but he is right in that it is very difficult to bring in a retread HC off a disaster of a season.

I heard Atlanta and Miami both want him as HC really badly. Can't put too much stock into it though.

    Worked for Kansas City.

If its the right situation , I believe any team with an already established offense could benefit tremendously by hiring Rex as a HC .

I could see Rex wanting to go to Chicago cause of his dad.

Maybe you haven't noticed because you're so googly eyed for Sanchez but that team already has a very good defense.

I guess, although Reid went 4-12 his last year in Phila. KC was 2-14. Mike Smith is in a division title race.

Yeah not because of the job he's done though.

If anything he's cost the Falcons a game or 2.

Of course the NFC South is more of a limbo competition than a race. CBS listed the Panthers as in the playoff chase at 3-8-1...

Yes, if the Falcons miss the playoffs, Smith is probably out. Not sure what Dabo Swinney's contractual status is but I could see the Falcons with interest in him. I could see Todd Bowles before Ryan. Bowles is an excellent defensive coach and would not come to Atlanta with a stench attached to him.

I would like him to end up in Atlanta, but I don't think it 100% he gone from the Jets.
