I'm salivating at the thought of this.

Woody shitcans everyone, gives Harbaugh full control, and stays the fuck out of the way.

We got a 4th(Leon Washington) for trading Herm Edwards away to KC.

It can happen. But it is multiple kinds of stupid to trade for someone who does not want to be here which is why you better get a 3-4 year guarantee with Harbaugh if you make a trade.

I would not make the trade personally because I think having 5 picks for the new GM(If there is one) is trouble unless they smartly trade down from round 2 to replenish 1-2 picks. Its honestly about time this dumb franchise actually trades down for once.

It's not that I don't want him, its just a matter of being realistic, about the cost and primarily his family's desires, those things don't lead me to believe that it's in the jets favor.

I just hope it is someone who can bring our dead offense back to life if not Harbaugh. Maybe Kyle Shanahan? Maybe Joe Lombardi? Gus Malzahn?

I heard his wife would prefer not to stay on the West coast, but that could have been bullshit.

I'm liking KS, I'm going to make an effort to see what he does with JM. From what I read today, KS made an effort to move the pocket for JM to make it a little easier for him.

KS also belives in running the ball to set up play action, now I know why MP hired him as his OC. The question that needs to be answered regarding KS is whether he can manage a team vs just the offense?

I don't know enough about Gus.

Oh really? I thought she wanted to stay there, my bad. If she wants to leave the west coast then hey, the jets should give it their best shot after the niners have cut ties with him.

Inconsistencies in reporting by the media? Mehta must be at it again.

Not sure if sarcastic or not given Kaep's struggles and Alex Smith being up and down when he was around. Ray McDonald also got to play despite his domestic incident and Harbaugh has played Aldon Smith when allowed to.

But I do think Baalke really neglects character when he brings some guys into the organization. Boldin is one of the few exceptions but there have been so many bad eggs in the Trent Baalke era that Harbaugh's been kinda unlucky in that regard.

One of the things no one can take away from Rex Ryan is not many homegrown Jets have gotten in trouble with the law throughout his tenure as head coach. We've been pretty good in that regard in fact.

He wasn't being sarcastic. Alex Smith was shit before Harbaugh showed up. He fixed him right up, and now he is a good NFL QB. Kaepernick has been pretty good until this year. I'm not sure the reason for that, but still that offense is much better than ours has been in recent years.

The GM job becomes more appealing because the HC is already chosen? And that HC supposedly is out the door because has control arguments with the GM/front office?

Yeah if Harbaugh is coming here I'm guessing it's for complete control which then actually lessens the GM job and power. That in my opinion makes it less appealing

Lack of stability at offensive coordinator is to blame for Alex Smith not figuring it out, I believe Alex Smith was on the right track when Norv Turner was the OC but he took the San Diego job.

That is true. I remember him coming on before Harbaugh got there.

Regardless, Jim Harbaugh is one of the best coaches in the league. Any team would be lucky to have him.

I agree. I don't like the idea of hiring a coach before a GM. Assuming Idzik gets canned - the right thing to do is hire the GM and then let him make the decision.

If we are going to reboot the organization (which is sorely needed) can we start out the right way?

Yea if Woody throws a lot of money at him not to mention the endorsements he would get and other money outlets he would get for being a NY football coach with the kind of guy he seems to be his wife would jump all over it like most money grubbing wives

If we hired Harbaugh the GM would essentially be a puppet. You're not gonna pair Harbaugh with a Tom Gamble. No real GM is gonna come here with him in real control.

That being said, fuck the bean counters. Do it anyway.

One way to stick it to Harbaugh is to trade him to either the Jets or Raiders....two of the most dysfunctional franchises in football...
