There is probably nobody in the entire game of football I despise more than Jim Harbaugh.
He is a fucking whining asshole. I would take his brother in a heartbeat and loved seeing him get beaten in the SB when he had the better team.
I appreciate that he is a good football coach, but look at how quick it took for a winning organization to be tired of him. That has to be a signal, heed the warning.
Also in year 4 his team is on the decline and has already missed its window (not unlike Rex).

I also think his personality would be a disaster in New York.
His cry baby, I'm better than everyone attitude and cannot take criticism persona would lead to a complete and utter meltdown after the honeymoon period is over.

I don't disagree with you at all - I am more concerned that this is a proven coach, that despite winning, is about to be shown the exit door by a first class football franchise. Do we really need more trouble??

Oh you mean like Belichick? If Harbaugh came here and won nobody would care. In fact that dickbag Manish Mehta deserves someone like Harbaugh.

Gus Malzahn, Kyle Shanahan, Josh McCown, Adam Gase are all better options in my opinion.

this is also true, but I don't see this man changing his persona. One troubling aspect is that of his constant riding and bitching at officials. The Jets don't get a damned break with NFL officials as it is. This is like throwing gas on the fire.

Rex bitches all the time too though. Sure it isn't to the extent that Harbaugh does, but still..

My point is that I'm not going to nit pick, when we have the possibility of getting an elite coach. If the refs continue to fuck us like they always do, I'd WANT my coach screaming, just like I am.

Everyone can wipe the cum out of the shorts - Harbaugh is not coming to the Jets!

If the rumors are true he will be coaching in Oakland for many reasons.

    1) if he wants to ever get laid again, he will stay on the west coast.
    2) Oakland will give him full and more control than the Jets.
    3) Oakland will have a higher draft pick, hence he can pick his QB (Carr if he desires, Winston or Marietta)
    4) His arrogance will want him to give the ultimate fuck you to the Niners by winning in there backyard.
    5) Miami and Buffalo are on the rise in the AFC east, SD and KC are not as good as many would like to believe (Peyton in Denver, Brady in NE is a wash)
    6) Harbaugh will want nothing to do with the NY media.

Harbaugh is on his way out , because of a power struggle. He wants more control, but the owner and GM refuse to give him more. This team needs a culture change, the last time were this bad Parcells was hired and we improved significantly and immediately. We need a proven head coach to shake up this locker room, and Harbaugh is just that.

The Jets need a disciplined coach to come in and get this team on track. I say move heaven and earth to bring him here, give him the power to shop for the groceries, and dig this team out of the dregs of the AFC East. It would be the best thing to happen to the Jets since they hired Bill Parcells... assuming his wife is ok with it of course.

I think if Idzik makes the call it'll be a present NFL Coordinator. He's worked in 3 organizations besides the Jets so he knows a lot of coaches. If Woody makes the decision he might go for a bigger name. In that case he'd have to pay much bigger money.

    I have a better idea.
Let Rex pick his successor. It may be better than what Woody and Idzik may come up with.

Why would we trade for him if I'm understanding the situation correctly?

Even if Harbaugh was going to be traded, they'd let him pick which team he wants to coach and then SF would work out a deal with that team. They aren't just going to send him to the highest bidder because he can just resign immediately if thats not where he wants to coach.

Since he can just decide where he wants to go and they aren't going to just trade him to the highest bidder, there is no reason to trade for him. SF wants him gone, so they'd probably fire him if no trade was worked out. Then he'd just go to whatever team he wants to go to.

If he wants to coach the Jets, then we should wait it out and let them fire him. Don't give up a draft pick.

A lot of us think many of the leaks are coming from Rex via his friends. Almost everything you get out of the press is anti-Idzik and basically blaming everything on him and not on Rex. I think as soon as we get rid of Rex the circus leaves town but that's hard to say. When you're dealing with guys like Mehta who make things up.
