You keep bringing up Luck, but in the year he threw 10 INTs - that's 7 less than Winston--Luck threw over 100 MORE PASSES. And Luck threw 15 MORE TDs. Stop with the Luck nonsense, Winston's 17 INTS are really really bad. _
That was some kind of a throw, now the Oregon St secondary took an awful angle to allow the TD but the throw itself was sweet. These Oregon targets are ridiculously quick, they are playing a whole other pace vs Oregon St.
I don't like him running but wow is he the total package. What a run. Oh Falco, I don't think Winston is winning the Heisman again this year. _
And at this point Winston is set to throw for 90 TD if he played a third year like Luck did. Winston has a higher rating than Luck did and is set to have more yards that Luck did if he stayed a third year. Luck was a prospect that comes very few times in a lifetime. Winston and Mariota are not on that level. But this argument can go back and forth with numbers.
We are talking about INTERCEPTIONS. Luck and Winston's numbers CANNOT be compared. Over 400 throws for 10 INTS compared to under 300 throws for 17 INTs. In one season. Please. _
Here we go again. Ignore the previous season. You keep talking about the one and ignoring the other. Setting records as a rookie
The interception numbers show us , that Winston is a poor decision maker. We're debating his decision making, and how this will affect him in the NFL. You cannot brush it off, as if this is the first time Winston has done this; He does this every other week!
Luck had every GM in the league saying they would draft them. The same will never be said about Winston. /comparison to Luck.
And in High School he was even better, right? And Junior High before that? Even better? He's regressed from a great year last year to worse this year. That's not a good trend. You're ignoring that trend. _
I'm not ignoring the trend and a college prospect is based on just that, a college career, thus his freshman year is just as important as every other year. You're making a conclusion about him regressing just based on him. There are a multitude of reasons that fall into why he has had poor games and a poor season by his standards. And if you want to compare Winston to Mariota all you need to do is look at the offense Mariota runs. Not something that tends to translate well into the NFL. Both run very different offenses.
