He's 8 TDs for 12 INTs in the last 5 games. 4 of which were against non-ranked opponents. He's been average the last half of the season. For a QB that is regarded as "one of the best in the nation" that kind of play cannot be excused or go unnoticed.

Nice read by Mariota and an easy TD.

The top QB/number 1-4 pick in the draft can't play a game like that on a national stage on rival weekend against a vastly inferior team.

Winston has had multiple games where he has thrown three interceptions. That excuse is no longer valid.

Yeah because not one other big name QB had multiple bad games in college.

Let's put his entire draft stock into a few poor games he had and ignore the huge amount of amazing games including an entire season of flawless play.

He had twice as many INTs today as Mariota has all year.

He had the same number of INTs today as Mariota had all last year.

    Everyone has amazing games.

This was an incredibly shitty game against a vastly inferior opponent.

And it was a shitty game but to put his entire draft stock into a series of poor games is ridiculous.

Let's ignore that he won the Heisman last year throwing 40 TD and 10 INT.

The struggles are much more than him just losing his best receiver. I agree, he's had poor games this year, but in no way should his draft stock fall.

Your play is supposed to crest the further you get into your career, he has regressed since last year.

If you don't think a game like this could effect his draft stock then I don't know what to say. If he plays lights out in the playoffs, maybe he salvages his status. If he plays like this in the playoff and still wins he'll tumble.

Which is bad for us. I want him to be neck and neck with MM to give folks options.

You continue to ignore his poor decision making. Jameis has been doing this since last year, and it has only gotten worse this season. There's no way a top flight prospect such as Jameis should be throwing 15+ interceptions in College. Look at all the other great prospects over the years, none of them had interception totals over ten, in a single season. He's played well, but he's not going to get away with this in the NFL. In college Winston can throw three picks without costing his team the game; In the NFL, Quarterbacks will make Jameis pay for each and every turnover he commits. If he's throwing 15+ in college how many is he going to throw in the NFL? 30? He's talented, but his decision making is awful and if he doesn't sure that up he'll be out of the league QUICKLY. Instead of evaluating how Winston will translate to the Pros, folks are proclaiming him a star and ignoring his inconsistent play, because of combacks against crappy college teams.

Peyton Manning had two years with over 10.

Brady had one year with 10.

Andrew Luck had one year with 10.

Drew Brees had two years with 12 and one with 20.

    I can keep going.

Drew Brees and Brady were not regarded as a top tier prospect, and Luck did not exceed ten. Winston has jumped from ten to fifteen interceptions. Guys such as Eli Manning cut down on their turnovers signficantly in their SR years.

Yes, yes, lets compare Winston to 5 premier QBs in the NFL. Two of which are the best to ever play the game.. The list is much longer of unsuccessful QB's with over 15 in a season than successful ones. Also, how many of those QB's you mentioned were on a team that had 20+ consecutive wins? Also, half of those and you can keep listing as well were not regarded as a borderline top 5 pick.

Dude almost all of the top prospects in nfl history threw more than 10 interceptions in a single season.

    Eli Manning
    Michael Vick
    John Elway
    Andrew Luck

The list goes on and on

Very excited at the thought of Mariota or Winston on this team

With the exception of Eli, most of the guys you mentioned were one or two turnovers over ten. And one again Luk did not throw more than ten interceptions. Also, none of them regressed to the point Winston has.Winston is going to blow by past that number after next week. Winston is not a good decision maker. He's done this throughout the year, and if he doesn't cut down on his turnovers he won't make it in the NFL.

It's a different game today than for most of those QBs you listed, much more wide open game.

    He's regressed from last year.

Btw, Matt Leinart never threw 10 in a season.

Hell the most Danny Kannell threw was 13.

    This is exactly my point..

You can't judge his potential college career based on the few poor games he's had.

He hasn't had a few bad games, this has been a reoccuring theme all season, but Fortunately for Winston his poor play has been covered by his comebacks.

I'm not saying he isn't a top ten talent, but to deny his decision making isn't suspect is silly.
