"I tell you one thing, nobody wants to play us. Every team is gonna get our best shot..." and so on, and so on and such as...
Zack Mettenberger ain't bad. Tennessee will clean our clock and find some other hole to fill besides QB.
The announcers mentioned before the game how the team, I think they even said the entire roster, supports Ryan, and wants him to stay. Then they go out and play like that. I can think of only two plays that went well, the runback by Kerley and the FG by Folk. That... was ..... it. Total team effort. So, how much should anyone listen to the players if they suck so bad while presumably being supportive of Ryan? So the announcers went on to say that if Ryan is fired, he will surely land somewhere else. I used to think that argument contained something cautionary in it. Not anymore. Who cares if Ryan lands on his feet, even does well somewhere else? He is not getting it done here, to use a Ryanism, no question about it. Get his ass out of here.
What franchise, other than Oakland, would take that buffoon as HC? Rex has proven he's not a HC, he's a D coordinator at best. A real HC takes charge of both sides of the ball, Rex can't even figure out how to get his vaunted D to play well any longer. Cya Rex, hope that tattoo can be removed, you'll have plenty of time to make new "footage" with your wife
I don't wish to express a contrary opinion, but at this point I just don't care what happens to Ryan. he's not making it here. He's gotta go, and that's all that counts right now.
3rd or 4th, take your pick. Even when he's hangdog Sanchez was still flailing away and failing . . . . miserably
I like Rex but its clear he is done in NY. Wont matter who they replace him with until they sort the roster - to little talent and too many key spots - we are just like all the other teams with terrible QBs, it doesn't matter who coaches them or how often they fire their coach and bring in someone new - terrible QB = terrible team, good QB = good team this is all you need to know -
I don't know why but this scene from the last Rambo keeps popping up in my brain. Rambo and his buddies have just happened upon a massacred village out of a Sam Peckinpah film. One of the grizzled Merc says to the others, "look, they even killed the dogs." Thinking bout the dogs ---- Jets, sorry.
