We are currently in the 3rd spot. We stay there the rest of the season, things will be looking pretty good for a QB or offensive lineman - but I think if you are at 3 you take a QB.

Trade for multiple picks and go o-line

You are making too much sense I am going to have explosive diarrhea.

But no, let's get a tackle or trade down and get a 4th round "developmental" QB lol.

    Oakland and Jacksonville.

Have to assume Oakland goes best pass-rusher / o-line / Cooper
Jacksonville needs offensive line help BAD. They go best offensive lineman
Jets will have a great choice of players to choose from. The key is Tampa Bay, we need to finish with a worse record to have a choice at a QB.

I think if Tampa Bay has a choice they will go Winston first - which would allow the Jets to select Mariota or a lineman.

I would Mariota just because Winston is a knuckle head and NY media will eat him alive

My god Winston with V-Jax and Mike Evans in Tampa Bay would be deadly.

though I gotta say, I'm not unopposed to trading down for a ransom, at this point if your in the top 5, its gotta be a QB.

OL is the next priority, over WR.

That's going to he a theme for the ret of time. QBs are so important and injuries are so peeve leant a great one is even more important.

But yeah let's trade down to get oLineman.

Because that will change the franchise.

    Maybe a punter too.

Are you sure about that? Last week we were #5 because SOS was tougher. I think it is going to be very hard to get the #3 pick since Tampa probably wont win another game.

You take the best player available. If the Jets feel they can acquire a veteran and get the best offensive lineman to get this team back to respectability then they should do it plain and simple. Jets need a good draft all around, they can't just hit on 1 pick and expect things to be fixed.

Contracts are only bad when players underperform. From what I remember the extension actually provided the team some cap savings compared to his "ridiculous" rookie contract. If Sanchez continued to progress 8-10 mil per year for a quality starter is not back breaking for a team nor is it a fireable offense. But you continue to tell yourself that.
