Will have a total storm update with accumulations etc tonite at around 1030 when the big models come out for their almost final runs. After the runs tonite and early tomorrow..the models become a bit useless and we turn over to the short range 24 hour models for help. See you guys later tonite.

well thanks to less than an inch of snow I'm stuck at Chicago O'Hare until tomorrow at 6am CST. at least they gave me some vouchers for food and beer. Had the best burger over had in years.

My heart goes out to you...been there and done that..the airlines have become a screwfest to the general public...not monitored and allowed to F.U. in every position..in every location...and without using protection. When I flew from Florida last week, I got to my gate and they announced that boarding would take place in 10 minutes..5 minutes later then announced our plane taking us to Newark has just left for Cincinnati and would make a quick stop there before coming back and picking us up...HUH? WTF? WTF? 10 minutes ago we are ready to board and now our plane got stage fright and is on its way to Cincinnati and we have to wait until it gets back? AND YOU DIDNT KNOW THAT 10 MINUTES AGO? Don't get me started...the airlines/airports need a real good reaming...from somebody much bigger than me. I have one more flight to take to end this nightmare and Im oiled up..stretched out..and ready for the ultimate embarrassment because that's flying nowadays.
Yea I hate the airlines too. They are all the same, greedy and run by pieces of shit who could care less about their customers. I was supposed to leave Lincoln Municipal at like 2pm. didn't leave until 530 pm. thats a 3 and a half hour delay. Then my connecting flight, which I would have made, got canceled, so now i am stuck in Chicago. I am afraid to fall asleep because I dont want to miss my flight to Newark. I was supposed to fly into Binghamton but now that aint happening so I have to have someone drive 4 hours to pick me up from EWR. Its so dumb. Now I'm worried about them losing my one checked bag. Which I am pretty confident that they will wind up doing and I'll have to go to a Wally World and buy cheap clothes until I get back to Nebraska.

Local weather people still all over the place with this,,,,,ch2 says 1 to 3 along the coast,,,,,3 to 6 inland. Ch 11 says 2to 4 along coast and 4 to 9 inland,,,,,,another channel says something different,,,,,but they all say storm starts early A M
just gave a write up on website. TEMPS TEMPS TEMPS are the only question regarding this storm..and unfortunately, a few degrees could be the difference between certain areas getting 4" or 9". Great write up jay. The temps arw whats killing me while trying to set a plan for this storm. I just feel, with as warm as its been, the roads are not going to cover until we are well into it. Making planning a bit more of a guessing game
thanks fjf...real tough call with the sticking. There is no doubt the snow will fall..and heavy..but with the milder temps at start..not until you get 1 inch an hour snows will the roads start to cover and get bad. The temps are so marginal there is not one model that even shows SLEET..during the turnover which is so damn rare...its rain..then snow. Which tells you the mid temps are warm. Still..some will get plastered and that's a fine line somewhere west of I95
Thanks Jay When is the next update coming? There is a big meeting at the office tomorrow at 10:30 AM for 1 hour. We should be done by around noon latest. (Englewood Cliffs). I would like to tell people not to come to the office and work from home if their return to home will be jeopardized.
