Or maybe the player shouldn't be out after midnight going in to the game weekend? The Browns from what I hear aren't happy.
They probably aren't happy because there was a public incident. It wad not his fault. I'll bet you 47 out of 53 players were out after midnight. It's a stupid story, these are adult multimillionaires. Rock stars. They don't keep the same hours as Joe Blue Collar. Get over it. _
Eh, maybe if you're an established starter, and maybe in days one by. But with all the negative off field stuff the NFL is enduring I imagine there's getting close to a zero tolerance, especially for a current back up player who had maturity questions in the draft.
So he should be in bed at 10:00 pm so we know where our children are. I choose not to be naive. Was not his fault but yeah he was out too late for your tastes so...it was his fault. _
Agree. This is a non-story. Sounds like a creepy stalker who had an ass-kicking coming, if you ask me.
This is bull shit lmao... How could u even try to insult people over THIS... If some dude i don't know probably drunk and annoying as hell trying to hug me n shit he getting the same treatment. You can get a handshake... a picture.. hell even an autograph.. but don't touch me.. weirdo
You really do seem to be interested in excusing the behavior of a guy that has basically proven nothing in the NFL. WHY? It's not like he got pulled over with a friend who put a blunt roach in the ashtray. He's got a HUGE history of celebrity issues and hasn't actually even earned the celebrity status. What's the deal? Are you really that enamored by any QB anywhere? Aside from Geno?
Yet folks would argue that he's not even a first stringer, it was 2 important nights before a game and he should have been in bed by 10 pm. Boo frickety hoo. Fuck that, his posse should have kicked the shit out of that guy. NOT his fault. _
Wtf are you talking about. Why are you so interested in excusing the behavior of a drunken asshole stalker attempting to physically accost a professional athlete, a celebrity, a target? It's not like he was out at a disco doing coke hitting on some bodies girlfriend. What's the deal? Are you so envious of a multi-millionaire rockstar celebrity that you can't stand some kid is having honest fun? Because he's not boring Tim Duncan? Am I playing right? _
People hate the dude. I can understand it. Petty, but folks are entitled to be envious. Makes them feel better about themselves I guess. _
Nothing good ever happens after midnight, especially on game weekend. I don't think it's unreasonable for someone to be diligent and responsible to their job, regardless of if they make 7.25 an hour or 100 million a year or any where in between if you're taking a paycheck from someone else. I'm not naive, I know it happens, but when thing go wrong you pay the price and you're held accountable, even if what happened wasn't directly your fault.
Lol ok thanks Herm. Btw, I went to college and post grad for a long time and worked in NYC for nearly 2 decades. Nothing REALLY good ever happens before midnight. _
Like I said, if you're going to live that life then you have to accept the responsibilities of your actions and what happens, regardless of who's fault it is. There is a big difference between being in the NFL and being someone like you or me. If you're a high profile NFL player you're in the spotlight whether you like it or not, it's part of the reason you get paid millions a year and if you're smart will be set for life and so will your children. You and I get in a fight in a bar at 2am the worst we have to face is calling someone for bail. In the NFL you are a face of the product and if you do something that gives a black eye to the league you're risking your future and being disrespectful of those signing your paycheck, teams talk to their players about exactly this type of thing and how to avoid it. That's not an accident. The environment isn't the 60's or 70's or 80's where off field antics were tolerated or even celebrated. Team first, and the Browns are a team hunting for a playoff spot. I'll guarantee you that the Browns are not happy about the distraction this event, although minor in the nature of the event, has caused...team first. If you're truly a professional if you are creating distractions in your office or bringing negative attention to your company how long do you expect to keep your job?
If I'm in a bar at 2 am I'm not getting into a fight because I don't have drunken groupies trying to physically accost me. He did nothing wrong other than be himself. I guess he should just shut himself up in a bubble. In bed by 10:00 pm. So we know where our children are. Because he's famous. He's a kid. Wealthy and famous. He should enjoy it. That he gets accosted says nothing about him and everything about society. _
It's a fact of life, it's part of the trade off you make when you accept that role, it's all part of the "Deal with the devil". That's life of a celebrity for better or for worse and that's the world in which we live. The loss of privacy is one of, not the main reason but one of, the reasons celebrities get paid so well. It's why athletes agree to market themselves when they sign on to NFL, or any sport, contracts.... Nothing is free and everything comes with a price, the price of being a celebrity is a loss of privacy and having to deal with that world. He wants the privacy? Quit football and disappear, he'd be forgotten shortly. He want's the money and the fame? Sorry Chuck, this goes with that turf, right or wrong it's part of the turf.
