Agreed, and if Winston ends up in NY and has to deal with the NY media, he will IMPLODE. For his sake, I hope he ends up in Tampa or St Louis. He has a much better chance to succeed there than this market.
Must remember that the kid has time to grow. He should have both Geno Lewis and DaeSean Hamilton for the next couple seasons as well, who both have NFL talent. He also has some nice big TE targets. We might see him running for a Heisman next year or the year after.
Very true. He just seems a bit overrated to me. I watched him play UCF earlier in the year and he had a good game, but it was unreal the way the commentators were so ready to call him great. One of them called him the best in the nation. Jesus. On a different note, for my own personal reasons, if this team drafts Winston I don't think I will be able to root for this franchise anymore. I hate him and everything he is representative of for modern athletics.
He's definitely got the raw talent, but he'll need more than that. Winston is also very talented. Needs to clean his act up.
Another NFL Sunday. Jets are off and I am watching other games. I work hard for 5 days every week. On Sundays, I feel like I deserve to be happy. My happiness depends on a successful Jets. . And that depends on a successful QB. Mariotta or Winston. All I want is a successful QB for Jets. A QB that will bring meaning to my Sunday's. A QB that has potential to make me the happiest man on earth. I am not asking for money, I am nor asking for a beautiful women. All I ask for is an above average Jets QB. Please God. Make either Mariotta or Winston a Jet. I really want to enjoy my Sundays going forward. Please God please. Make it happen. Please!!!!
He has time to grow, possibly two more years. James Franklin isn't good for him, he's regressed a bit undee him. Also new coaching staff and loss of most of the OL and Allen Robinson isn't good news for a young QB.
I'm with you there buddy. Although I'll still root for the Jets I would just absolutely hate drafting him.

I thought the same earlier in the season but he seems to be growing into the job more as the season goes on - I don't know if he would survive with our O/Line thought.
Yeah I'm not saying he's a bad player, he's a very good college player. I guess what I meant is he looks like one of dozens and dozens of really really good college players but I haven't seem anything from him yet that screams NFL QB. I was a huge McCarron fan and I saw his game more translatable to the pros and he didn't go till the 5th. But I'll try and watch some of him today. _
Folks really want to bypass Mariota (or Winston) this year in the hopes we draft Christian Hackenberg in 2015 or 2016? Lulz. _
Winston is starting to grow on me the more I watch him. The part I love about him is how he stands tall in the pocket in the face of pressure and still delivers strikes.
