From what I can tell, there's not much left in Ferguson to loot or burn anyway. If the folks there are smart this time, they keep control of the situation and don't give the Cops a reason to use deadly force since as we all know, they hardly need a reason these days.
Anyone getting into a physical altercation with a cop in their vehicle is liable to be shot multiple times until they're subdued. It doesn't matter what color anyone is, the cop or the civilian.
That would be true if the shots were fired from close range, but the kid was running away, stopped and turned around with his hands up and was gunned down anyway. He was not close to the cop with the kill shots were fired and was not armed except with the stolen cigars. Doesn't matter though. Its all just another day in the life in the home of the brave. What time is the Jet game on Sunday? 1pm or 4?
Lol nice one, but seriously in regards to this situation a lot of things are being held in the dark. https://storify.com/laurahib/shaun-king - plenty of activists out there seeking the real truth, once Wilson is not convicted, the people of Ferguson and anyone who opposes this ruling will continue to protest, it's going to get real ugly out there, I'm hoping no violence happens, but people are out here buying guns n shit so who knows. Schools in St. Louis might get shut down. Not sure if you believe the story or not (that I posted), but a lot of information ties together. I don't trust Fox or CNN at all in regards to the news. I mean if you ever listened to Don Lemon anyway you would think he has some screws in his head that are loose.
I heard it got cancelled. Did he stop and put his hands up or was he charging back at the car for round 2? Did he even appear to be charging back at the car for round 2? That's what we don't know. Cops want to go home to their families whole too. Here's what we do know. These are facts. 1) Just committed strong armed robbery 2) Toxicology report shows he had marijuana in system. 3) Evidence shows his (browns) blood and gunpowder inside cop car. That supports the officers story that the struggle began in the car. I'd say it's more than reasonable for the cop to be concerned for his life if the kid already got into a physical confrontation and tried to take his gun. If the kid turned around and started heading back towards the car in a threatening manner it's justifiable to fire again. There were certainly a string of very poor decisions by Brown leading up to his death.
What about The Washington Post, do you believe them? Shaun King included an opinion piece that was in the Post in your link above so I would think there is some level of credibility. What you posted was for the most part opinion and conjecture, not something I would like to rely on to make any kind of decision. http://www.washingtonpost.com/polit...38c7b4-5964-11e4-bd61-346aee66ba29_story.html .
Cameras should be on police officers. That is about the only conclusion I can draw from this whole tragedy/fiasco. We have the technology. Officers should all have cameras mounted on their chest, so there is little more interpretation needed when a crime is committed.
Cameras would be a good start. The one thing I would add is that if anyone requests the footage of an incident to review that they be required to show the entire incident when disseminating said video. There was a recent incident where the officer did have a body camera on but because one outlet got a hold of the video and only showed when the officer shot the suspect there was still an uproar. When the entire video is shown you then see the suspect was walking away from the officer while his 2 friends obeyed the officer, disregarded numerous commands to put his hands up and then started pulling up his shirt and put his hand in his waistband. He had no gun but for some reason tried to give the impression that he did have one. If there would have been cameras in Ferguson either he would have already been indicted or it would have been a closed case long ago.
You listed "facts", on a list on why he was shot. I just can't take that serious. I don't think it was the marijuana that provoked him in having all these altercations; some people just are just unreasonable & violent because of up bringing; environment; surroundings; or maybe a mental reason
Those are facts we know about the events leading up to his death. I didn't say those facts are why he was shot. The facts show that he was high on drugs, robbing a store and engaging in a physical confrontation with a cop. The only fact you need to justify him being shot is that he was in a physical altercation with the cop while reaching into his vehicle. The real question is why was he killed because it's pretty clear he earned being shot.
Well I am watching a stream of the morons out thee protesting now. There are about 30 of them and all they keep doing is stepping in front of cars so they can't pass. As I type the police finally came out to move them out of the street. Edit: Looks like they are deciding not to listen to the police and keep the street clear, the officers went back inside. Maybe for back up? Put on riot gear?
This is all setup by the government so they can militarize the police and establish permanent martial law.
Police came out and the protestors went to the blocked off area of the parking lot where the officers lined up. Got them out of the street I guess.
I am quasi law enforcement and one thing I can speak on with confidence is that it doesn't matter that he was so many feet away when shot. There is a thing called a "reactionary gap" and it is much bigger than what you would imagine to maintain your safety. The reaction gap.wmv: This a great video that shows just how quickly a bad guy can close what 'seems' like a safe distance.
Watching this livestream and trying to figure out how hurling insults at the officers and challenging them to fight is accomplishing anything. This is embarrassing for the real protestors.
That was the case in Salt Lake in which a black cop killed the unarmed white kid and the media completely ignored it. Fortunately the evidence (the video) exonerated the officer and showed the kid he killed was nothing but a stupid wanna be hard ass who paid for his tough guy attitude with his life. It may sound harsh but it's pretty simple, if you want to act like a tough guy with the police you are probably not going to win.
