Nets attempting to lose at home to the Heat, who are without Wade and Deng. Heat players playing significant minutes: Danny Granger, Shawne Williams, Chalmers, Cole, Bosh, James Ennis, Birdman, and Shabazz Napier as I've said several times, the Nets have been Knicks-esque with their moves. Paying Joe Johnson huge money was moronic, as was giving up tons of draft picks for washed up Pierce and Garnett (and now Pierce has left, not that it changes much. No chance that team was a serious contender with or without The Fake).
The fake haha. Yeah i never liked that trade from day 1. Oh well, I'm not a nets fan anyway. I semi rooted for them when kidd played there though.
Now I'm not as cocky, or confident as you, but i appreciate not being the only okc supporter. Everyone seems to think we are a walk over, which blows my mind. We kept Houston in the 60s without our 2 all stars. They are perfectly healthy, which is insane. (Also Fuck patrick Beverley that punk ass bitch. I hate him legitimately. He injured westy, and the other night he kept getting away with bs violence.) anyway, they have been one of the top offenses so far, and in fact were the 1st team to ever start the year with 6 straight games over 100, and allowing under 100. But yeah, our seed will be low, so season is obviously over. Wrap it up boys.
You are so wrong, Clippers will beat the Thunder. The Thunder will not win the NBA finals this season, healthy or not.
Memphis is absolutely dangerous, if they stay healthy they are heading toward a 55+ win season. They won 50 last year without Gasol so this was not a surprise, but with their 10-1 start, it will go a long way toward the seeding.
I'm going to laugh at you when your elite" team gets whipped in the playoffs l. For a fan that hasn't seen his team win crap, you're quite arrogant /cocky.
I'm very confident in OKC this year. Westbrook really entered his prime in the playoffs last year and put on a performance that hasn't been done before over a 19 game stretch. & KD i don't even have to waste my time explaining what he can do. If we go into the playoffs hot (which we most likely will) and everybody is healthy it doesn't matter what seed we are because we are the team to beat in the west. We are the team nobody can write off, and are a contender year in and year out. I believe without a doubt last year if it weren't for the Ibaka injury and Scotty Brooks shitty rotations (panic-desperation rotations at that) then we would have been in the finals last year. I don't know why everybody is so high off the clippers, but whatever, we have their number. Add KD and Westbrook's efforts to the efforts the team is putting forth now and they are going to be a nightmare come play off time! WE WILL SEE!
So you think the Thunder can win a game 7 in LA, In San Antonio, and or Golden State? If they end up with the 6th, 7th , or 8th seed I guarantee you they'll have to play a game seven on the road in the post season.
LA and Golden State would get this work in 6. I'd love to see OKC vs San Antonio in a game 7... would be amazing and good for basketball...and for people hating on OKC!
The Pacers are beating teams, too. I guess there contenders as well, since they're losing close games, with various injuries to their best players. Oh, samething with the Heat, they beat the Nets without Wade and Deng, they're most definitely a contender as well. You do realize that's the logic you're using right? It's silly, and you need to come up with a better argument for OKC, than the typical "We have two stars arguement". The '11 Heat had two top three players, and they lost. My point? Two superstars aren't going to carry you guys to the promise land.
No, they will not beat GSW or LA in six. I'm not "hating" one OKC, I see glaring issues with their roster, which imo, will prevent them from winning a title this season .
The Difference between OKC and the teams you named are they aren't contenders like OKC is and has been for the last 3 years now. That was a reach. And OKC has more than just "two stars" with Ibaka having a great season so far, and plenty of other young guys that are playing SOLID as a unit. We won't be playing through just two players anymore i think thats what your not understanding. We are turning into a solid all around team, and our bench will be very well prepared come playoff time after playing vs starters for this period that our stars come back. Not to mention KD and Westbrook are arguably the #1,#2 best players in the western conference period. We are missing two of the top 5 NBA players IMO (ITS TIME TO START RESPECTING WESTBROOK)
Like what? what's the GLARING weakness? What can't we do well? We turn the ball over too much, that could be fixed now that KD and West will have some help.. it's also not damn near 4 on 5 anymore since perkins isn't starting.. Adams makes a huge difference in our starting 5
Ibaka isn't a star. There's point in debating this, because you're letting your homeristic views blind you once again. The Heat had three superstars in 2011, who as a trio were better than KD, Ibaka, and Westbrook, BUT they still lost in the finals. It takes more than stars to wins, and it's a shame you don't realize this. OKC has, is , and will always play through their two star players, due to lack of depth and incompetent head coaching. All I know is that your bench didn't show up in game six against the Spurs in crunch time , and with the exception of Jones, none of them have gotten better.
You cant run an offense that will succesfully work over a 7 game period. Thats why you lost to Miami, and thats why you lost to San Antonio. Luckily the Thunders talent hides most of it but the Thunder will lose again, and quite possibly a lot earlier than in the WCF. Change the headcoach and the Thunder will have a real chance to win it all, till then, its not going to happen.
i would've clicked this had it not been almost 3 years ago.. We've become a way better team since this shit show performance. But if you wanna take it back to then please find out how much the refs were paid to fix the fuck out of that finals my god.
That's why they play the games isn't it? I'm not as bias as jetlife, but you are acting like the thunder are Already eliminated. I just want some respect, and for you to realize they are, and will be just as big a threat as all those teams. Home court isn't everything. Away teams win in the playoffs all the time. The only reason home teams usually win, is because they are the better team. This year we will be a low seed, that won't be the case, and then you'll see.
